Me personally am looking forawrd to this more then Mayweather v Pacquiao. This is obviously not one for the purist but on the skinny of it must be a FOTY contender. Matthysse is probably the harder puncher with Provodnikov having the sturdier mandibles. Both have greqat stamina and like to be the one on the front foot.

Matthysse concerned me with how easily he went down against Molina. Not sure if its catching up with him or that he wasn't really motivated for Molina.

Am edging towards Provodnikov via late stoppage

What Crawford says there is quite dangerous, going through all this hours before the weigh in should not be part of boxing and I doubt it is for the majority.

So both the fights are starting at the same time.

Can't say i'm too bothered seeing Crawford outbox Dulorme, the only interest is seeing him fight somebody he doesn't outweigh by a stone.

I'm not subscribed but the Chavez fight is starting now too, so a complete man sausage up all round.

Seen a bit of Dulorme. Has flattened a few guys with that left hook which is a particularly sharp punch - something for Crawford to keep an eye out for at least.

I do want Dulorme to win, not a fan of anyone who blows up in weight so much.

First two were pretty low-key but Crawford showed his hand a bit more in the third. Good left hook to the body which made Dulorme hold for a moment.

Think the pathetic showboating there made it look like Crawford was doing better than he actually was there.

Sheridan talking out his arse like usual, aside from the third round Crawford has been falling short with his jab and barely throwing a right hand yet he's dominating the fight now.

Crawford basically conceded the fifth there, for me. Just giving Dulorme too much respect and time. Odd.

That was bound to happen, spoke far too soon.

Well, that's not a bad way to bounce back in the very next round!

Crawford TKO in the 6th. That seems to be one of the good things about Crawford, he can pick it up out of nowhere. Great one-two to set Dulorme on his way and he never looked like he was going to recover from that.

Crawford continues to impress. Winner of Matthysse-Provodnikov next for him, please.

I had it even through five, Hammersmith. Felt the first two were arguable either way with Crawford clearly taking the 3rd and 4th with Dulorme definitely taking the 5th - but as I said, that was a round which Crawford more or less gave away as he sized Dulorme up. Looked as if he could always step it up when he wanted to. Dulorme just wasn't good enough to really tell us anything new about Crawford but I don't think Crawford loses anything at all from his reputation tonight either. Solid performance. I just hope he's put in there with whoever wins this one coming up now....

I think the hype for Crawford is a bit over the top at the moment, he's beaten a few solid fighters but no one you can really gauge his real worth against and I include Gamboa in that purely for size reasons.

If it's taking him five rounds to get to grips with Dulorme I do worry for him moving forward, at Welterweight against the top men he's going to be made to pay before he adapts. The 6th round does make a lot of that irrelevant but i'm still a bit underwhelmed by him.

Matthysse coming out to box as he said he would. Jabs and counters well in the opener. 10-9 Lucas.

Matthysse looking a million dollars so far. Provodnikov has a nasty-looking cut over the left eye and can't block the uppercut for love nor money, although he did land his first decent shot in that second round as well, a nice left hook.

Showing signs of coming to the boil, but that cut could curtail things.

Gave the third to Matthysse as well but Provodnikov closed the gap somewhat and is getting to him a little more now. Great action and an excellent pace to the fight so far. Really enjoying it.

Another cracking round in the fourth. I preferred Provodnikov's head shots over Matthysse's body ones there, but both of them are dishing out tremendous punishment here.

Living up to its billing so far!

Matthysse needs to land something moving forward, his shots dont have the steam on it like they should, ruslan already taken a lot of shots though but hes as tough as a bull and doesnt seem shaken at all and is continuously moving forward

The end of the fifth and the whole of the sixth were a bit of a massacre.

How didnt provodnikov not buckle once, dominating shots by matthysse, 4-2 to lucas has to watch for thise big hooks

Provodnikov's output was way down in the sixth but as the Bradley fight showed, he does have those lulls in activity from time to time. Matthysse going with the uppercuts and movement again in the sixth and it's 59-55 in his favour at the halfway point, for me.

I don't think Matthysse is sitting down on his punches fully here, moving a lot more than he usually does but this is becoming a one way procession. Prov will knock him out now you watch.

Matthysse still bossing with his jab he's blocking modt of Ruslans shots on his arms think matthysse is making a mistake not trying to go to the body of the iron chimned serbian

Too late in the fight to worry about going to the body now, all he needs to do is carry on using the jab and moving.

Better in 8 and 9 from Provodnikov, but it looks to me as if his shots have lost that big of blunt-force trauma now. Matthysse stood up well to what he dished out.

I've got this 98-92 for Matthysse, he's bossing the fight with his jab, throwing in the occassional right and left. Provodnikovs wild swings look impressive but they're largely landing on the gloves.

6-4 to matthysse imo, just outlanding ruslan, ruslan landing one or two big shots lucas landing consistently

Matthysse hurt and dipped at the knees by a left hook in the 11th!

Matthysse definately felt his power, hes winning this but may need this round as Ruslan ha sdone well in spurts, can sway judges

Not sure how anyone can have that fight close, not much happened in the final three rounds the big left aside before which it was one way traffic.

I got 6-6 so a draw, but Matthysses rounds were easy to score the 6 rounds, but 2 of the ruslans rounds couldve gone to matthysse

I cant see ruslan winning 7 rounds though but hey, american judges lets see

Good last round by Provodnikov but not enough for me. I have it 115-113 to Matthysse but that comes with the caveat that he won seven rounds clearly in my opinion, so no debate at all about who won it despite it looking relatively close. Could see it perhaps a couple of points wider.

Think Provodnikov probably wishes we still had fifteen rounders. The Bradley and Algieri fights might have turned out differently, as might this one.

Whoever scored that a draw needs to self immolate

Baffling scorecards, you don't win rounds for hitting the gloves while getting your head jabbed off.

In other news a robbery is on the cards in the Fonfara/Chavez fight, the referee has started the screw job already by deducting a point.

It's only the 114-114 card I'd have an issue with. As I said above, Matthysse had seven rounds which he won clearly and without any dispute - I can't see how anyone could tally anything other than a Matthysse win. But there's a conceivability that the other five could have gone to Provodnikov. There were a couple of close rounds where you had to decide between the busier work of Matthysse or the power of Provodnikov.

I had 115-113 and think that 116-112 is an excellent score as well. Competitive but clear for Matthysse in my opinion. It's not as bad as the draw card because at the end of the day, Matthysse was a deserved winner, but I'd argue that Lockett's 118-110 in the studio would have been a poor card as well, way too generous to Matthysse and harsh on Provodnikov.

Anyway, very good fight and an impressive showing from Matthysse who showed he's a bit more than just an all-out banger. I was impressed with his composure and poise in the big exchanges and he mixed up his shots really well early on.

118-110 is a more realistic card than 114-114 Chris, you can argue a case for Provodnikov only winning two rounds and I was generous giving him four rounds.

Shouldn't take away from Matthysse proving he's a cut above and that Prov aside from his chin doesn't have a great deal going for him.

That's what I said, Hammersmith. My point was that while Matthysse clearly won, it wasn't an absolute runaway job, either.

Boom! Chavez down and Fonfara almost giving the referee the perfect excuse to disqualify him and hand daddy's boy another dodgy win by landing a couple of shots after the bell in his hurry to finish it.

And it's over. Chavez Jr quits on his stool between rounds. Only saw the last couple of rounds but Jr looked horrendous.

First fighter Chavez Jr doesnt have a weight advantage over and he gets stopped

He took a hell of a lot of pubishment in this fight, chin is only so good untill you keep on getting clokced cleanly

Chavez Jr is done it seems, even tried to get a catchweight to weaken Fonfara but was uterly bullied!
