JEFF vs Rabo

IMO there is only one winner and this weekend proved it once again.

Thank God for the Jeff.

Full strength teams playing with passion, aggression and skill, thats what the paying public want to see not 2nd/3rd/youth teams turning up to fulfill a fixture.

I think the jeff gives the English fans better enjoyment than the Rabo gives the celt/Italians!

I also think the Rabo gives the Celts far more than the Jeff gives the English overall though... Trophies at the top level... HC and 6N, and well thats what it was set up for.

So the Jeff is more competitive, and the Rabo produces more.

Well Rambo is something of a classic , but Jeff is ok and he always says "how do" when passing him in the street

Hard to call realy, on one hand Rambo has taken on the Viatnamese army, a whole police force and the Russian army all with one BIG knife and a machine gun, then on the other hand the Terminator is from the future and is a robot, but once you get down to the nitty gritty, I have never seen Rambo lose, but I have seen the Terminator get beaten so for me it has to be Rambo.

The problem is a big knife and a machine gun would do feck all against Terminator. Does our Rambo have anything else going for him or else he is royally screwed.

Good point, but I saw the Terminator get beat up by a metal bar before he was crushed by that press, also, which Terminator are we talking about ? The origonal one or the the one that could change shape as that would put an all new bearing on things. But back to the origonal point, Rambo alwys finds a way, even in the bleakest of circumstances. For example Scarlets vs The European Champions Leinster

Men against toddlers IMO, complete mismatch, if that was a football game then Leinster would have been fined for fielding a weakened team.

It was a complete joke and does nothing for the Rabo or the NH IMO.

You couldn't really blame Scarlets supporters for not showing up with the squad Leinster rocked out. Something needs to be done about this

I agree, it's not fair for the home teams, a game like that after the summer should be close to a sell out.

The league should take action against Leinster IMO, make an example out of them.

Great good for you, but I expect the Scarlets accountants are a little disappointed when they add up the gate receipts this morning considering they had the Euro Champions playing.

This is why Leinster's best players are so fresh when it comes to their bread and butter - the Heineken Cup.

Agreed, and that’s wrong and needs to be stopped for the good of NH rugby.

Otherwise it devalues their achievements.

Leinster are still a quality side but for example it was pretty clear in that Saints-Leinster Heineken Cup final who the fresher side was.

The Saints final was the real demonstration of it 'shocked.

Mind you Saints were paper thin in depth to fight on two fronts and overextended their limited resources.

Yea too be fair they are more prepared for it now. Mallinder learned some important lessons after that season.

No it's not using the bench LF4L, it's who is subbed. It was not the action of a coach who cares about the result to sub off the best players. Except in friendlies - which this game was treated like.

Looking at how Leinster played and treated the game, it was basically another pre season fixture for them.

For the Scarlets and their supporters it wasn't though.

Who in perticular? Strauss? I cant remember the last time he played a full game.
Boss? Same goes for him . These kind of subs are always made no matter what to keep things fresh in the team. You have to understand that schmidt doesnt put guys on the bench just to watch the game. He always intends to use them.

It could be an issue if Scarlets scrape into the playoffs & another team misses out if they had to play eg. A proper Leinster side.

I'm glad Scarlets stuffed them, but in truth it wasn't really a meaningful game.

I'm surprised Leinster didn't try to get uncontested scrums too, I mean that uses up a lot of energy having to push in the scrum.
