Brook v Khan set for June 4th

Eddie Hearn has apparently stated that the fight is set for the above date.

Another good fight to look forward to on these shores this year with Frampton v Quigg already set.

I fancy Khan to out speed Brook at this point but could change my mind tomorrow on this one.

Good fight, difficult to pick a winner but I do think it will be very one sided, either Khan's speed is too much or Brook's timing/size/strength is too much.

Brook will smash the china chin of Khan (the latter probably still holds delusions of fighting Mayweather at some juncture).

Mid-round KO.

I think that this fight might be a bit like the Khan-Maidana fight. Both likely to have their moments during the fight. I'm leaning towards Khan but will probably change my mind more than once.

I don't have a problem with Kell Brook, but I'd like to see Khan win this fight just because of all the stick he's received over the years on this and other forums.

However, as much as I don't have a problem with Brook, can somebody tell me why people say Khan has wasted the last few years of his career chasing after a Mayweather and Pacquiao fight, when it took Brook 10 long years before he fought for a world title?

I'll have to watch some of Brooks more recent fights as I've not seen him Porter but I think the most likely outcome here is a repeat of the Khan vs Alexander fight.

Algieri caught khan with a load of clean shots. If Brook does the same it's good night for khan and for his career.

Big stakes for Khan in this one.

Anyways if I does come off then it's simple imo, if kell tries to box he loses and if he tries to be aggressive he wins he hits too hard for khan

Brook v Khan may be a step closer to happening. The Daily Mail is reporting that Pacquiao is going to fight Bradley for a third time in his final fight so Brook may be Khan's only big fight option right now.

I'm glad Brook manned up. Mayweather and Pacquiao both ducking the master.

Conor McGregor only does MMA because he is ducking Khan as well.

Brook has always fancied this one, Brook by knockout natural welter with welterweight power, he will catch Khan and then its over.

Khan by clear UD. He's the better boxer and Brook's faced bums(apart from Porter)

I can't see Khan hurting Brook at any point. There's no question who the better boxer is - it's Khan all day and his hand speed is frightening, I've always said that. The issue is that he'll find it hard to shift Brook who can take a shot and will land at some point. It all rests on how cleanly Brook manages to counter. As Nico says, Brook has always fancied this so he obviously sees exploitable flaws and isn't bothered by the fact Khan could box his way to a UD.

Just can't see how Khan copes with Brook. Only against Alexander did he look amazing and that was mostly due to him going gun shy as usual. Brook won't be scared to wade in as Khan is a powder puff puncher and although Khan will win rounds I can only see Brook sparking him, he is good enough to find a way and Khans chin isn't good enough to stand up to it.

No news out there on it yet though.

I always fancied Khan in this but I'm undecided at the moment. Brook isn't a natural pressure fighter. He'll have to be one to win it in my view. But then Algieri wasn't and he adapted to give Khan problems. 

Fact is, we've never seen brook in against a top quality boxer. Great win against porter but that's a very different animal. Tough fight to call with any confidence.

Both will have been inactive for over a year by the time June swings about. In a career where you have a very short "prime", in my opinion both have been badly managed (brook more so than Khan). Khan chased mayweather/manny and fought brook level fighters on American highish profile cards, brook chased Khan and fought domestic level fighters, on domestic level cards.

I think brooks career will end without him ever realising his potential at this point. I think Khan has realised his. It's witter/ Hatton all over again.

Quick question - if this is on in june are they both going to fight beforehand?if not why the hell do they need half a year to prepare.... was impressed with the way brook won the title but since he's done absolutely F all... disappointing... and khan ain't any better... happy new year to you all btw

I may have jumped the gun ever so slightly. I read that Hearn said it's close and contracts have been sent over to Khan. It'll happen.

I agree with Jimdig's POV. Brook has been managed extremely carefully from Warren to Hearn. It appeared like Warren had actually given up on Brook towards the end of their relationship. Don't know why that was.

Regarding the fight, Brook has a style that Khan can box circles around although Brook seems to have good timing so that could be his counter. Khan's to lose for me though but he could well do so. Good fight and one I'll look forward to.

On a side note, I'd have preferred either of these two in with Manny. Arum's picked the most boring choice that he could have.

Nothing wrong with that, the Khan fight would always be in the summer anyway.

Hearn already said that if you don't fight the IBF mandatories, then they will strip you immediately

Yup me neither. Just checked and he has two losses to that Dan guy Brook smashed to pieces.

Yeah i wrote an article about Brook's next mandatory a couple of months ago, he beat Fredrick Lawson to become mandatory. I watched the fight it was terrible
