Just a brisk walk would be quick enough.

He should have given it to her before christmas then she could accurately measure her progress and Jeff could do the mincing.

Come on now, Shah. Is there any need to stereotype the shirehorse-whipping, lard-guzzling, pigeon-breeders?

I agree. You'd never catch me stereotyping the shandy drinking, perfume wearing, labradoodle f*ckers that reside down here.

Just popped out to Waitrose. One of their trolly collectors was wearing a high vis Waitrose jacket on with 'Gore Tex' etched on the collar.

Pretty well thanks apart from the attacks when I go to bed and when I get up as well as all the other random maulings, her claws and teeth have grown an inch since I got her. Tried overfeeding her to weigh her down but it just seems to give her more energy.

It's all about someone getting tortured to death and then creeping out of his tomb, it's ruined already. I'm sure there'll be plenty of evil easter bunny pictures doing the rounds on the net though.

There was a story on Bloomberg earlier about the soaring popularity of quinoa.

I instantly thought of Galted. He is the only person I sort of know that would almost certainly have eaten it. Who else is eating it to justify a slot on Bloomberg?

These are crazy times we live in.

I cooked with it not so long ago. Made a sort of arabic salad kind of thing. Doesn't really add much flavour but the texture was interesting.

Bit more in depth than Galted's review.  Although his was very succinct.

Have you tried Fleurie?  It's a nice Beaujolais.

On the subject of food, my old man cooked Tom Kerridge's carrots on boxing day. Basically you peel about 8 whole carrots, stick them in a frying pan with about 400g of sugar, 4 star anise, a pack of butter and water to cover. Bloody marvellous they were.

I doubt it. Doesn't ring a bell in any case. Was that your expensive wine for Xmas?

I had a Chateauneuf du Pape on boxing day. Over rated.

4 star anise? Surely that is too many? It must just have tasted of aniseed and nothing else.

En croute is something encased in pastry. Sounds like you'll be tucking in to a turnip and carrot pasty.

Nope. Tasted nutty, sweet, with a hint of aniseed. Bird hates carrots and she had 1.5

Nope, apologies for the late response but I was stuffing my face full of large chicken burrito and brutally hot sauce. You should ask michaels about anything that sounds vaguely French as I'm sure you've already discovered.

Well your old man must have done something different then. I put star anise in gravy and over the last few years I have reduced it from 2 star anise to about a third of one as it overrides every other taste.

It's probably similar, according to wiki, Since the expiration of the main Gore-Tex patent, several other products have come to market with similar characteristics that use similar technology.

Bit bland looking.

Mind the windows Tino.

I like bland. I had to utilise the hidden hood at lunch. Unfortunately I can never put the bloody things back in properly.

I can't get the hood of the Jack Wolfskin 3-in-1 working properly, it's got all these bits to tighten which you need a mirror for and I never remember to do it when I'm at home.  Whenever there's a gust of wind my head swells up, I must look like one of those frilled lizards from Australia trying to scare away a predator.

You must look a right sight. Some ambling tramp with messy hair, teenage stubble and 3 teeth in his head. A tramp that has stolen a coat from a old age pensioner.

Mind the windows Tino.
