Keeper Rules

- 3 players per year max.
- Can keep players twice (so three years total per guy) before forcible release.
- Players take the value of there draft round in the first redraft.
- Players move up in value by 5 rounds for the second redraft, or as high as they can go otherwise.
- If you end up with stacked picks (multiple players as keepers who count as the same round) they build up backward. e.g. if my keepers are draft picks 3, 4 and 5 I would loose draft picks 3, 4 and 5 in the first redraft and 1, 2 and 3 in the second as each player would be upgraded to an effective 1st rounder by the 5 round rule and therefore stack up.
- Undrafted players are valued at round 10 for the first redraft.
- Traded players initially count as there drafted position with the +5 rule in effect for all subsequent years.
- Years of eligibility are team specific, based on the round value of the player when traded to you. e.g. if a player is drafted in round 12 and is kept by another team for one season they will be valued as a round 7 pick when traded in year two due to the +5 rule.
- Abuse of the above rule by trading away a player over the keeper period only to get them back afterward will invalidate the resetting of two year eligibility.
- Once a player has no eligibility left on a given team they will count as a 1st rounder if traded away to somebody else and retained

Haha! Glad to hear I'm not the only one who hasn't had much luck this week. I had a rough time over in the East league - played Big Ben over Andrew Luck and then watched as Luck scored almost 20 points more than him! In this league - RG3 left the game injured which was a real shame as it's meant that a decent performance from the rest of my team is going to go to waste Crying or Very sad

24 points ahead with the other team having Foster and Johnson to play. I think it might be too much to ask for the Jets to stop them. If only Revis was still there.

Put up a cushty 132 points so far.
I've also conceded a tonne of points over the 5 weeks

I love this team... I've had so much bad luck in other leagues (Cutlers', Jennings', Bryants', CJ2K's, Nicks', Finleys', Fred Jacksons' and Run DMC's taking up most of my higher picks) but at least this one is great!

I've not had much luck in this league at all. Two decent scores the last couple of weeks but lost both match ups. I think when I traded for RG3 I also traded for the Redskins curse!

As a related aside... how do you do that.
Is it only an option which comes up for IR/PUP players?

I set it up so people would not have to drop star players who are injured , with it being a keeper league
rules from NFL.COM site

RESERVED PLAYER POSITION

Custom league managers may choose to enable a Reserve slot to allow an injured or suspended NFL player to be placed on a non-active fantasy roster slot. If a player meets a number of NFL-specific roster designations and you believe upon return to an active NFL roster that he will be an impact player for your team, you can place the player on this Reserve (RES) slot.

Players are eligible for the Reserved slot if they are officially labeled by their NFL team as:

RES: Injured Reserve
NON: Non Football Related Injured Reserve
SUS: Suspended
PUP: Physically Unable to Perform
EXE: Exempt
Once a player is moved to the RES roster position, you will have an open spot on your roster and can add a player to your active roster without the need to drop someone. Note that when the time comes to activate your reserved player, you will need to make a corresponding transaction to ensure your roster meets league-specified roster limits.

Once a player becomes active, you can keep him in your RES spot, but you will be restricted from improving your team via add, drop or trade since your roster will be in an illegal state. Note that your team will still earn fantasy points for matchups that take place, but you cannot improve your team via external transactions.

I got a win this week!! Finally!! Two game losing skid broken! Ironically, it was with a much lower score than I notched up in my last two defeats. More proof that this game is little more than a game of chance!! Mind you, big thanks have to go out to Cherriesfan for not replacing bye-week bound Drew Brees in his line-up this week.

Yeah, I was a little annoyed at how this week panned out tbh.

After getting about 55 points last week from my RBs I go and get 6 this week. Bryant sucked at the Flex, though I was only considering Jones in his place - never Shonn Greene so I can't feel hard done by even though that would have won me the game.

Anyway, everyone in my divison lost and i'm still 2nd overall. Sri Lanka Rams are running away with it a bit. Think they are the only unbeaten team across the 3 606V2 leagues.

This keeper league format makes you think twice about trading- I would have offered Rudolph as bait for a decent RB weeks ago as I have Gronk already, but since I picked him up pretty low in the draft- thought twice and now regret it a bit!

Quite confused as to who to start this week...

Donald Brown is banged up in a time share and against a good run defence, but Daniel Thomas is hardly a guarantee despite the favorable side of the matchup.

Then Dez Bryant seems like he could be out, but do I risk Hey-Bey or Thomas
