Who am I?
First topic message reminder :
I Captained SA at schools and sevens levels.
I played for Western Province where my team mates included, among others, Tiaan Strauss, Corne Krige and Bobby Skinstad.
I also captained Ireland in rugby union.
I have also played for Ulster and Munster.

Re: Who am I?
Not Phillip Mathews.
I was a surprise choice to captain my country.
My knickname, because of my looks, is a well known place.

You won't laugh at this:
Butchering overlaps.
Being penalised in the last minute of Grand Slam deciders.

Re: Who am I?
Nope, whats with all the Irish players?.....
I have spent much of my career in the shadow of two players in the same position, for club and country.

Right, as a result of extensive reasearch I can ask:
Which late 60's year has produced no Welsh rugby captains!

Re: Who am I?
I have been a professional footballer (soccer) and a pro American footballer, but I only ever played club rugby as an amateur
I ended up player-coaching another nearby club that was a serious rival to the one I played for
I have coached my country's women's team

Re: Who am I?
What links the following players? (and can you name them all)- (doubly cryptic )
A legend representing the British Isles and Ireland who was also a tennis player, beating David Lloyd
A Heineken Cup winner who has played in 3 European countries and also captained his country and a 3rd place medal at a World Cup
A man who has literally played next to his brother and won a World Cup
A man who currently plays for the same club and country as another person on this list
A Lion who debuted on the wing but now plays elsewhere
A man who went on two Lions tours, 30 years apart, who drew with a World Champion in another sport and played in the same position for the same country and at one point Club as another man on the list
Another RWC medal winner, and currently a director of rugby for a rival(ish) club of one he once coached for. He has also been red-carded at a World Cup
Finally a player who is slightly different to the others on the list, who's International career has been reduced by his faith but hasn't stopped him from going on a Lions tour with another player on this list
