I Captained SA at schools and sevens levels.
I played for Western Province where my team mates included, among others, Tiaan Strauss, Corne Krige and Bobby Skinstad.
I also captained Ireland in rugby union.
I have also played for Ulster and Munster.

I once owned a leisure centre in France and a floating bar in Swansea, playing club rugby in both places.
I was in a GS winning team and went on two Lions tours playing in every test on both tours.
I have scored the winning try in a test against the all blacks.
Well renowned for practical jokes, one such joke led to the hospitilisation (and stomach pumping) of a test match colleague.
I sadly died at the relatively young age of 52.

Until joining the RAF, I had only played Rugby League. Went from Corporal to Captain when selected to lead my country in a tour down under.
