First topic message reminder :

I'm not great at writing new topics, but I've been looking for this one, and nobody else created it so I did. Forgive me if its not insightful, its simply a place to discuss the season run-in.

Leinster 77 --> Dragons(a)
Ospreys 67 --> Aironi(a)
Munster 62 --> Ulster(h)
Warriors 61 --> Connacht(h)
Scarlets 57 --> Blues(h)

And then that time we won the league and smashed you at Stradey, Finau handing D'Arcy his arse on a silver platter. Bonus point by half time, and another four in the second half. The only good game Gareth Bowen had for us.

As regards it being a horible game, I remember it being a pretty good game (For a neutral or Scarlets fan)

I Just looked it up

Fri 5 Oct 2007 19:10 ML Leinster Rugby 23 - 52 Llanelli Scarlets

The answer is No actually. Not our worst defeat. Right team though.

The game Glas refers to was actually slightly worse. (At least it was away though)

Fri 16 Apr 2004 19:30 CL Llanelli Scarlets 51 - 20 Leinster Rugby

First year of the Regions. Celtic Warriors were 4th. Dragons 3rd. Irish and Scottish sides making up the bottom half of the table.

Yep, Stag likes to bring that one up around Dreamer all the time.

Hardly appropriate for the club's official Twitter account to put out there. I hate those types of records, particularly when it's with my team, Jamie Heaslip will eventually captain a losing side, Italy will eventually beat Ireland in the 6nations etc. constantly referencing it is just going to make it all the sweeter for the opposition when they ram it up ya!

That Stag is such a bully Cry

Know what you mean about those records though Mick. When we played LI in the LV this season, Scarlets spoke all about how neither Llanelli or Scarlets have ever ever lost to them, in over a 100 yrs of playing them. I don't like things like that because you know one day we will lose to them. I mean, it's got to happen at somepoint....

I knew of the one in Scarlet territory, but not the one in which they thumped Leinster at the RDS! What a good win for them that must have been!

So that's your defeats, what is Leinsters biggest win? Apologies if it's already been written, I didn't scroll up to see it. Anyway, you have had two 50+ point wins this season at the RDS, could it be one of those?

We put 90 odd points on Bourgoin in the HC about 6 or 7 years ago. That's probably our biggest win the in pro era anyway.

Yep. I was only talking about the rabo.mag.celt It is a Rabo thread

Sat 4 Dec 17:15 HC-P2 Leinster Rugby 92 - 17 Bourgoin Lansdowne Road

Only 5000 people in Lansdowne rd for a HC game. We struggled past them 23 26 the following week away, in front of half that amount of people.

We won 6 out of 6 that year in the HC and then got mugged by Leicester in our home QF In front of a full house in Lansdowne.

Gas isn't it, and Toulouse put 100+ points on Ebbw Vale in an HC match and then lost to them in the return leg.

Sadly is true, however it doesn't show the amount of times there have been just points in it. Anyway I think that number will be 15 come the weekend as every welshman's favourite ref is in charge of this match.

We have to make sure that we don't leave points behind on the pitch like we did against them in the HEC this season. I think both times (definately the home match) we would have won if we put our kicks over.

The weekend is nearly here. BIG games in the pro12. How about some predictions everyone? Here's mine; (points gained rather than score)

Ospreys 4 Dragons 0
Ulster 4 Leinster 1
Scarlets 4 Munster 1
Treviso 1 Warriors 4

If correct the league come monday will look like this;

1st Leinster 74
2nd Ospreys 66
3rd Munster 61
4th Glasgow 61

5th Ulster 60
6th Scarlets 59

Looking forward to a great weekend. Hard to imagine the celtic league without the play offs now isn't it?

Risca, you don't even think Munster will get a lbp? That would really put them in a difficult position leading into the last game.

I didn't realise it was so grim for the Scarlets - so even if we beat Munster we end up on 59 - if Glasgow beat Treviso which their prob favs to do then we need them to loose their last game as both Ulster and Munster will be infront of us and seeing as one of them will have to win their last game it means 1 of them would finish on 64/65 points and the max we can get (assuming we win against Munster but don't score a TBP) is 64.

Yiks!

As such am hoping for Glasgow to loose (sorry Warriors fans)

Priest - yep, tis grim viewing for us Scarlets. We need to win our last 2 games (not a given) and just hope other results go our way too. Tough tough for sure. Just hope us missing out on a lbp against Aironi doesn't come back to haunt us.

I think Rodders meant that will be the SCORE after 10 mins, when Ulster get a flukey try, which just serves to pi$$ Leinster off and they come back to score 5 of their own unanswered in the next 70. Smile

Is there any chance Glagow come away from Italy with less than 2 points?

Even if they do. They have Connacht at home next week.

Connachtcan be a very tricky team when their heads are up

As a Leinster fan I am WELL aware of the threat Connacht pose. I watched a Leinster team containing Rocky Elsom go down in the Sportsground just as an example.

However I am also aware of what a tough place Firhill is to go. We are yet to record a win there in the Celtic/Magners/Rabo.

Connacht were a kick in the bollix from losing at home to Aironi yesterday. (They were 16 3 down and got 19 16 in the last minute)

Glasgow will win in Firhill v a Connacht team with fock all to play for or I will buy you all a pint.

Today's game is a lot more difficult for them, but I would still back them to win in Treviso.

Glasgow really need Munster to slip up next week and lose against Ulster to make it to third, which would give us an away tie against Ospreys. Tbh, think I fancy our chances against the Os more than I do against Leinster...

Oh yes. I was impressed by you when you came down to PYS. However the Ospreys pack are on fire, currently and Leinster, well...
