Rugby ace Henson to give acting a try? Gonna need help with this one =/

CHARLOTTE Church's rugby star ex Gavin Henson is being lined up for a film role alongside fellow Welsh hero Sir Anthony Hopkins.

The former Wales international and current Cardiff Blues rugby player is reportedly in talks to appear in the low-budget romantic comedy, due to be filmed in India, England and Wales later this year.

Slumdog Millionaire child star Rubina Ali has also been cast in Lord Owen's Lady, about a young Welsh nobleman who falls in love with an Indian girl.

Gavin's agent Matthew Ginvert said: "He has held a meeting with producers but we haven't heard back from them, he hasn't signed anything."

Rubina, who was plucked from Mumbai's slums by director Danny Boyle, is keen to see if Gavin is as good looking in real life as in his pictures.

The 13-year-old said: "I have heard he is a huge star and he is very handsome, so I am really excited to meet him and work with him." Gavin hired an acting coach in 2010 to improve his chances of landing a decent role once his playing days were over.

Ok so unless I'm missing something, Gavin is potentialy going to be in a film where he falls in love with a girl from India, and the girl is going to be played by a 13year old girl, picked off the streets of Mumbai?

I've heard the sayings:
"if their old enough to bleed, their old enough to be butchered"
and "as long as there's grass on the pitch",
the second one is appropriate for a rugby player, but bloody hell...

No it's a rugby player / reality tv star / singers ex-partner, potentially going into movies as a career alternative.

Hence my suggestion.

tbh its the Sun and he was in the papers yesterday saying how he had given up on TV and was concentrating on the rugby as he had lost respect as a player. Personally I take both reports with a pinch of salt and figure his agent is up to tricks to try and raise his profile to secure a contract in the summer.

I guess he'll be the Centre of attention as usual

Maybe he could star in the Alfie "biopic" alongside Mickey Rourke as well??

His agent can't be that bothered about securing him a new contract at the Blues...

I take issue with 'Rugby ace' and Henson being in the same sentance...

He has recently been acting in the role of a top class Rugby player,though not that convincingly.Maybe a dancing career beckons!
