The Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. "exhibition" fight is now over and apparently it did decent PPV numbers and I read that Tyson made $10 million for the fight. The bad thing is that Tyson says he would "absolutely do it again".  

I know that the fight was an exhibition but those punches that he and Jones took to the head can still leave some lasting damage to the brains of 50 year old plus fighters. I'm just hoping that this isn't the next big thing. George Foreman came back and won the tile again at 45, which encouraged other fighters to extend their careers into their 40's. So there's a chance that the success of this exhibition fight might encourage other, old fighters to try the same thing.

There was talk of Evander Holyfield and Tyson having a real fight a few months back, so who's to say that they won't now fight an exhibition?

Tyson vs Riddick Bowe or Bowe vs Lennox Lewis or Lewis vs Vitali Klitschko could all happen if people buy into these "exhibitions".

These "exhibitions" are all well and good until somebody gets hurt. Snoop Dogg saying it was "like watching 2 of my Uncles fight at a barbecue" is spot on. It's a joke. Great fighters of the past do NOT make great fighters of the present, no matter how good they were.

I am worried about the way boxing is going - all these celebrities playing at boxing and 55-year old once-weres having a punch up is bad for the sport. It's all gravy until the gravy train crashes. Sadly I have a feeling that it will.

I am led to believe that they took testosterone to up their levels to their virile youth (testosterone replacement therapy). Hence they were able to up their muscle and strength levels despite having aged brains and organs and bones.

I struggle with Murray to pinpoint a single noteworthy win of his and yet he's had FIVE world title shots and been outclassed in most of them.

Some boxers are hard as nails but are a notch down in talent and ringcraft.

Floyd is now going to fight an "exhibition" against Logan Paul.

I'm guessing that despite the image Floyd likes to give off, he must need the money.

More like he would be doing it for the attention. It would put him back in the spotlight.

Spence/Crawford or Spence/Thurman are the only two fights for him right now. Any other fight he takes at 147 is boring for the fans. He needs to beat Crawford or Thurman to get Manny so please don’t say Manny
