As above. Just forked out three hundred and odd pounds to get my Pug thru the MOT and now the diffs have gone in her gearbox so Im looking on another three hundred and odd pounds to get her on the road again...

Am having to resort to driving my Dad's R reg Escort around now until its fixed picard

Get a bike...

I pedal to work and I make the journey quicker than cars do (this might be down to my supreme cycling talent).

Cycling keeps you fit and reduces your carbon footprint, if you happen to be bothered about such things.

Erm... Im one of the clumsiest people you could meet and fairly sure Id kill myself on a pushbike. Besides, I have an hours drive to and from work every day. Drive backwards and forwards to Notts from Hudds every week which is approx a 150 mile round trip so aint really an option.

Im a high octane kinda girl, am as fit as I wanna be at the moment and couldnt really give a monkeys about my carbon footprint :/

Amen to this - starting cycling to work, 6 miles in about 20 mins, instead of the 45 minute morning traffic!

From someone who had a car that started to die and I threw cash after cash after cash at it to keep it alive my simple answer is let it die and get another one.

Buy a honda. They never die unless you kill them yourself.

I'm massively into steroids so everytime my car dies I punch one of my neighbours unconscious.
