Why can't I send PMs to anyone?

Any time I try to send a PM I get a message saying the Administrator won't allow me. Who is this Administrator - and why not? Has anyone any idea what I've done so terribly wrong? This is ridiculous!

Are PM's enabled in your profile, LP? Click on Profile, My Preferences tab, should be second on the list. If it says you do allow members to send you messages then I have no idea after that. Sorry

Profile says I do allow you all to PM me so I'm feeling really picked on now How can I get the Admins to stop being so horrid to a poor pensioner?

Just tried to send you a PM and it says you cannot receive them!

I joked about the last great forum schism, but I'm sure the admins will have blocked LP from sending PMs and never got around to rescinding it.

Thats what my rushed post was trying to say.

The fact remains that the golf board doesn't have a moderator who is here regularly enough to take care of housekeeping. I have had PM exchanges with Navy who admits he can't be here all the time (we all have real life gets in the way of forum matters) and respect to Navy who admitted that himself.

The golf board doesn't need moderators to rule on arguments, but it DOES need someone here regularly to perform the housekeeping.

This week for example, the Masters in underway and yet Kwini's ever excellent ballwasher thread thread still hasn't been made a "sticky". There have even been reasonable requests from McLaren and others that for one week maybe a Masters thread should be a global sticky to attract people who only watch golf three or four times a year - yet the thread isn't even a local sticky, never mind global.

It has now been fixed.

If have issues then post it in the feedback section instead of a random article. They aren't going to read it otherwise.

I'm not interested in getting into a debate, as you will see my name is no longer in blue as i am not a mod of the forum anymore.

I am happy to help out were i can, as i did with LP having a look before raising it with Admin.

I can also move whatever threads you want and put them on a sticky today as if it helps but i am always wary of interfering with threads in the golf forum as by in latrge you like to be left to your own devices.

On Macs sticky idea was this raised with anyone or just the comments in the thread which admins probably would not see, however once again i cant really comment for them.

I made the comments in a couple of threads in the hope Navy or another mod would pass onto the admins.

I will now raise it in the feedback system.

For some reason I couldn't log in on my phone just before and during my holiday (just back today) but all seems fine now.

Found the thread I was after - seems you need to contact the Admins if you're having problems with PMs.
