I think you gotta go for the 4th and 1, but the 4th and 6 was a silly call considering the time left and we actually pretty much just gave them the ball at the 20 anyways.

Also not really sure why he went away from his usual deferring the kick-off either - seemed a weird move to put Denver's best side of the ball on the field first.

Definitely not his finest hour

Dislocated finger happened. Much as he'll play it down, his throws were off target a lot last night and it has to be on the finger. He threw INT's when guys were open with a good throw that he would likely have made 6 weeks ago. Believe me, you can't throw a ball properly with a bum finger.

Part of me is actually looking forward to this SB. I have to strongly favour the Panthers, but you just can't rule these Broncos out. If Manning can avoid INT's like he has his last 2 games, then he can possibly do a Dilfer and 'not lose'. But the Panthers are the best at takeaways this season, so I have to say the odds are stacked against him. And while the Broncos have the best D, Newton look slike he can unlock any defense.

Early predicition? Panthers 27, Broncos 17.

Marvin got in because he was a pure pro and didn't court controversy. TO will probably get in next year. Check out the articles on NFL.com - pretty decent insight into the voting process and the reasons may don't get in on 1st ballot.

Biggest point this year, I think, is that Stabler had to die before he got voted in!

I hope Peyton wins.

But the Panthers are the better team and probably comfortably. The NFC is just a much tougher conf right now.

I want Carolina to win. Don't like the Broncos and really don't want weeks of 'Peyton Manning wins Super Bowl, goes out on top story'.

I've got the Panthers getting a safety as the first scoring play and have also have Greg Olsen to get the first TD.
