We didn't deserve to win that, a miracle we got as close as we did. Never seen a defensive performance like the one from Denver today - 20 QB hits on Brady is just outrageous.

They're gonna need to do it again in two weeks because that Broncos offence is gonna struggle to put up anything against Carolina/Arizona considering they struggled with ours

Denver Broncos 20-18 New England missed PATriots.

I don't understand why the Patriots didn't go for the field goal instead of going for the 4th down with 4-5 mins to go. That would have made the score 20-15. If the Patriots then made the stop and got the TD they would have been 22-20 up with a few seconds to go.

Gutted I didn't get to see the game. Out for a meal with the missus work and trying to follow the game on Twitter. By the sounds of it Denver did what they had to do - pressure Brady.

I said earlier I couldn't see an AFC team winning the Super Bowl Really can't see Denver winning, and that ain't just sour grapes.

Really interesting to see what happens with Brady in the off season now.

Could be an ugly Superbowl... if Broncos win then it's an ugly defensive win... if the Panthers win, then it's surely a blowout. There's just now way that Broncos offense can keep up with Cam's offense if it all clicks for Carolina.

Fair play to Carolina. Newton is unreal and their defence is just scary. Pity the Superbowl is likely to be a snore-fest though.

Kinda wonder if the regular season was just too easy for Arizona. They cruised through it, really only ran into the week 17 Seahawks, and maybe the Bengals in terms of big time contenders.

First time they really got punched in the mouth, they found out they had a glass jaw

Yeah, fair point GSC... although you could say the same about Carolina - they only played 2 teams that finished the season with a winning record... and one of them was Houston!

Cam is on another planet from pretty much any other QB at the moment though and the defense is proper good. I doubted their Superbowl credentials cos of their easy schedule but I take that back now - they're the best in the league just now by a mile.

I'm pretty glad we don't have to face them in the super bowl tbf - no way we'd beat them with Cam playing like he is, he's ridiculous at the moment.

Carolina is going the punching mind. Be interesting what happens if they get sucker punched in 2 weeks.

I guess you never know what will happen in that situation until it does. Arizona never picked themselves back up. Suppose you also have to have big questions over whether Palmer is a big game player also.

Really are a few unlikely storylines for Denver.

Peyton gets benched, comes back and goes to the Superbowl

Gary Kubiak goes to the Superbowl 2 years after leading a team to the NFCCG

Wade Phillips doesn't have a job last year, yet coordinates the best defense in the league.

That Carolina o-line is pretty good, be interested to see how Denver attempts to shut down that run game and the read option. Might put them on their heels a bit

Pretty much - Brady was awful first half, played well second half. But there's no QB who will be himself when getting hit 20 times in a game, the most in a game since 06. Von Miller was absolutely incredible, as was Derek Wolfe. And who the hell is Malik Jackson? He was pretty good too

Things got much easier for Brady after TJ Ward left the game. Gronk only had two catches at half time.

It certainly helped - I still can't believe we ran that ridiculous play on 4th and 1 - why try play action when you can't run the ball or block long enough for Brady to be under centre.

Hopefully everyone who got injured for Denver/Carolina yesterday is ok to play the super bowl

Denver defense owned us. Von Miller is a great edge rusher but Marcus Cannon might as well have not been there, his performance was the worst but the whole OL was shocking. I thought Vollmer had a good game last week but even he struggled against Ware.

The abuse aimed at Gostkowski on twitter/radio by Pats "fans" after the game was crazy and its why I tend to despise the majority of our fans as much as the rest of the league.

Can't believe Gostkowksi has been getting stick. Yeah, he might have missed the extra point but that was hardly the only reason the Pats lost yesterday. Those fans slagging him off do realise their golden boy QB got hit 20 times and as a result he laid an egg don't they??

Gostkowski is amongst the league's best kickers.
