Froch vs Kessler II - Spring '13
First topic message reminder :
merry xmas all
http://www.boxingscene.com/froch-not-bute-next-fight-kessler-s-sure--60827
not sure whats going to happen with the bute rematch but my advice would be for him to stay well away!
froch-kessler II is a mouth watering fight, if, it lives up to the first fight. I can see froch nicking this one, especially if its in the UK.
Thoughts.

I didnt bring him up on this thread, I responded to a comment directed to me about him. This was a Froch thread and if you noticed my initial comment was about Froch. Now how about giving over for a change eh?

When ever I have seen that you have made a comment on any thread I know it will be about 3 things. EIther lennox lewis and how he is the best and has never really lost and people need to show him more respect. The klitschkos and how crap they are and how they are liars and full of corruption. Or froch and how overrated he is and that he is a sky hype job.

Froch is my favourite British fighter, but i see this as a complete 50/50 fight and wouldn't be surprised with any outcome (bar perhaps Froch getting KO'd).
I don't really see where Carl can go after this fight, and given his age, i think a victory here would be the perfect ending to a brilliant career. I hope he wins and bows out at the top. Not many do.

"Brilliant career!!"
People use words like "brilliant" too easily.... He's had a good career.....end of!
Lost to Kessler and Ward.........(Kessler lost to an old Calzaghe!!)
Let's use brilliant to describe the careers of Mayweather, Leonard and Ali types..

Brilliant by British standards, Truss. It certainly is that - he may not be the greatest Brit ever, although I make him just about top 12, but very few of our fighters have made more of their talents than froch.
On your other note, I fear that the lunatics have already taken over the asylum. I always say that the moderators do a difficult job really well on this site, for the most part. They are frequently damned for eliminating the tiresome flotsam and jetsam that always seem to infest this type of forum, but experience tells us that if anything, they are far too kind.
"It's just banter", "you can just ignore them", "everyone has a right to be heard", are just some of the piffling responses by apologists for the same old wretched would-be comedians and blow-hards who should have been terminated before their third posts. Well, no it's not banter, it's moronic drooling of the type that would have seen the perpetrators classed as mental defectives not that long ago. Yes, one can ignore them, but then one has to waste valuable time scrolling through the sewage in order to find the nuggets that the dimwits have swamped.
So no, they don't have a right to be heard. I've lost count of the number of genuinely interesting and informative posters who understandably can't be bothered to debate with imbeciles and have given up the unequal struggle. A decent few are still fighting the good fight, but the shadows are closing in. Unless we return to what the late, great Windy expressed to me as zero tolerance for the cretinous fringe, a lot of us are regretfully going to have to turn our attentions elsewhere. It's a pity, because at its best, this board is still leagues above any comparable boxing forum.

I agree he deserves to be among the Best of britain...
I actually like him..a guy who craves the best around.....can't knock that...
Brilliant...great.... and similar words...for me are far to often used these days......
especially by Bunce, smith types..

Amen to the death of hyperbole, Truss.
Fat chance, of course. Apparently, it's essential these days. I've even seen David Haye described as a great heavyweight by someone who wasn't David Haye. Sadly, he didn't offer us the word that we then need to find for Muhammad Ali.

Didn't Bunce describe Haye-Chisora as the British fight of the century....A guy who'd lost three out of his last four fights.....against a guy who'd lost a shutout in his last!!
What hope have we got..

It looks as if Rycoys can count himself lucky that the captain wasn't around when he picked Haye to beat Foreman, then!

Truss, I was outed as the captain's alter ego by someone last year. Not sure which of us should be most aggrieved:
-Me, that someone thinks I 'm a made up wum, with the intellect of tadpole
- or the captain, that anyone would think he'd take the time to write the rubbish i come up with!
Whichever, I presumed whoever it was didn't hold me in the highest regard as a poster! But I'm not bitter and rarely mention it.
