I Captained SA at schools and sevens levels.
I played for Western Province where my team mates included, among others, Tiaan Strauss, Corne Krige and Bobby Skinstad.
I also captained Ireland in rugby union.
I have also played for Ulster and Munster.

I made my first class debut at 15. I played for Wales and the British Lions at Rugby Union, Bradford Northern and Great Britain at Rugby League and the Buffalo Bills at NFL. I was killed in a car accident in Bicester in 1993 trying to help a motorist who's car had broken down.

Shane was a street urchin in Oliver, doing gymnastics on stage when he miss judged a flick and fell into the orchestra pit (not as drmatic as it sounds) all of two foot on top of a baby grand piano.
When we were in Dinefwr under 11's Shane used to hide under the seat every time we crossed a bridge. He really hated the bridge in Llandeilo as it goes on for a while.
Dylan 'Bach' Davies was a scrum half that kept Shane out of the 1st XV at school and is now a Police sergeant in Llanelli. He is affecionately nick named 'laptop' - mini PC.
