606 - the return?

Welcome my little 606ers!

Hero here, as usual to save the day.

Gone with a nice 606 blue and white coloured theme, also tried to make it as neutral looking as poss to not alert workplaces.

Let me know what you'd like adding!

If people like the look of it and start to use it post closure then that's all fine by me. I want to keep it as plain and simple as possible. No avatars, no images etc. Forums go out of their way with them usually but it makes it less easy to view then discreetly and can take up company bandwidth.

Definitely mate, the simpler the better, especially for those who'll be on mostly during work hours!

Nothing worse than being on a forum where everyone's got a massive sig at the bottom of every post, there's no hiding them from the boss! :lol:

Also want to make as close to the 606 experience as possible.
People moaned about 606 but we all still went there and we all want it to remain so it must have been doing something right!
I want keep everything that was good about 606: simplicity, no images, no avatars etc.
But then have all that’s good from other forums: No 3 min rule, moderation with sense, no 11pm closing hours.

One thing I would like to keep is the profanity filter (to a degree). I know everyone involved are adults, but it can put off people on forums when they browse and it’s full of ‘C u next Tuesdays’. A degree of decorum I think is best used.

i'm hodge from 606, few people may (hopefully ) recognise me as i post every so often, as you can see i have a great imagination when it comes to choosing user names......

like the look of the set up, as i agree alot of forums go out of their way to be different so keeping it simple is fresh

Last thing we need is a bunch of footy wums.
We have to get Angelina on here though, hes priceless

At present I'm just posting it on the wrestling section of 606 (though via facebook someone has registered interested in looking after cricket and rugby).

I think though with people in charge here being wrestling fans that even if it was opened to the football community that the wums would quickly get bored because there is a lot more ease for which to control them.

one thing we might need on here is a 'miscellaneous disscussion' somewhere to post stuff not related to sports, so that the sport board doesnt get spammed.......

Hero - I would be quite happy to moderate the MMA board although I am not sure whether many would come across as they have suggested their own.

I still thiunk that its worth having one though, for the same reasons as people not using the tnaniceboard one.

Im not one by the way, Just the name i have been using since i joined 606 so thats what everyone knows me as if that was what you were on about YI man. Sorry if it wasn't.

Why of all the options smilie wise to have in a standard forum would they think 'they'll be big use for a Pharoah one, no-one bothers with thumbs up, but Pharoahs they can't get enough of!'

I once created a albino wrestler for 6WF so it would be of use to him. Especially if he was a large white rabbit.

There seems to be quite a range for the albino population to use if they so wish.
