Just to keep you all in the loop, I have posted a provisional XI but will post the full XI and tactics as and when Liam shows up, otherwise it won't be worth me doing.

Match 1: Deccan vs Kochi: my match, come on deccan!

Match 2: Delhi vs Mumbai: Delhi take 10 runs off the first harbajhan over, but Steven Finn causes problems from his first over. He gets sehwag and Warner early, with good bounce causing problems. When Gul comes on, the batsman enjoy the pace, and get good partnerships going. Delhi get to 155. Morne Morkel gets the top 3 out quickly for delhi, and they sniff victory. But the mumbai middle order regroup and get parnterships going, and eventually get home with 2 balls to spare: MUMBAI WIN

Match 3; Kings eleven vs KKR: Zaheer gets Gambhir first ball of the match, and kp gets out to shakib in the very next over. Kings put partnerships together, and get to 150. In the run chase Bipul Sharma gets gayle in the first over, with gayle not liking pace off the ball immediatly. Kallis plays the anchor role, wickets tumble in the middle, kallis and pathan see kkr home off the last ball: KKR WIN

Match 4: RCB vs chennai: Chennai's strong batting line up, dominate throughout, and ease their way to 170, with RCB;s bowlers lines and lengths all over the place. In the run chase, bravo, gets hafeez and Mukund early, and then the spinners come into play. RCB limp to 135. CHENNAI WIN

Match 5: Pune vs Rajasthan. Pune love the fact that RR have bowled first on a raging turner. Rahane and Valhathy, get pune off to a flyer agianst the quicks. The spinners come on, and restrict pune to 140. However the pitch gets worse, and Pune'sspinners make the most of this pitch and bowl rajasthan out for 105 PUNE WIN

Match 1 - Kochi win this one, Vettori in particular really strangles the life out of the Deccan innings. Despite resistance from David Hussey, Kochi deal well with the rest of what appears to be a slightly weak batting lineup of Deccan's, who fail to reach their target by 20 runs.

Match 2 - Very tight matchup. However, I think Delhi will win, for one reason - Morne Morkel. His height and the sheer bounce he generates will be an absolute nightmare for the Mumbai batsmen that aren't overly suited to this type of pitch, given their upbringing on slow, low wickets. Steven Finn will cause problems of his own, but he is a little more erratic than Morkel, and that proves the difference. Sehwag and Warner prove the difference with the bat, both going after the ball with their own brand of 'uppercut' shots and cashing in. Most weeks I've noticed people stating they'll get out early, and I've said it myself, but this week is their week and they're an extremely dangerous opening duo.

Match 3 - KXI to win. This pitch seems like a tricky one, and after posting a competitive score they manage to get through to Morgan and snag him early. Pathan brings them close with some big hitting but ultimately holes out, and the innings stutters to an end. Had KKR won the toss I'd have probably backed them, as they have a solid batting first lineup, but in this instance the pressure leads to a number of false shots, which costs them.

Match 4 - my match.

Match 5 - Rajasthan to win. Their bowling lineup consists of some quality medium pace, backed up by the still dangerous spin of Warne, particularly on this pitch. Botha does the usual containing job, except he gets big turn too on this occasion which bags him a couple of wickets. Dravid and Sangakkara, with their exceptional technique against spin, do the damage with the bat in this low scoring affair where nobody scores at much more than a strike rate of 105.

Same complaint from me, why would my top two fold so quickly? Sehwag usually gets out to good line and length bowling, not bounce and Warner can play most deliveries.

I think on the whole they've been plenty of competitive matches, which has been great. I certainly haven't felt badly outmatched in either of my two defeats so far... Will get up my votes tomorrow, probably.

To be fair cf, you've moaned loads about the toss :p

That isn't the reason you're losing either, a lot of the teams probably have a stronger first XI than you at the moment.

Match 1 - Kochi win. Winning the toss is crucial as KT post a decent score courtesy of Laxman before their army of spinners come on and leave DC 10 runs short.

Match 2 - Delhi get off to a flying start with both Warner and Sehwag getting quick fifties but Harbhajan comes on and takes them both out in the 9th over. Delhi rebuild and eventually finish on 190 thanks to a brief cameo from Irfan.
In reply SRT is in unbelievable form and the bowlers are clueless against him. He sees MI home in the last over. MI win by 5 wickets.

Match 3 - KKR win

Match 4 - Chennai win

Will do reasons for last 2 later got to go out now

Kochi and Chennai just look better sides to me.Deccan and RCB batting too weak IMO.

Pune vs Rajasthan: Swanny makes the difference on a wearing pitch.Warne is not the smae bowler anymore.Rajasthan lose a very very close match by 2 runs thanks to Swanny's brilliance.

Delhi vs Mumbai:Another close game.Think Morkel would make the difference taking a 4 fer after a Warner special propels Delhi to 160.

Match 1 - Deccan win. I fancy their classy spin attack to restrict the Kochi batting line-up, which Laxman aside doesn't have great players of spin in it. In response Hussey and White guide DC home to a lowish target.

Match 2 - DD win. Finn gets Sehwag and Taylor early, but Warner plays one of his special innings, and in so allows DD to get well above par. On a tough wicket, this proves too much for MI despite a fine innings from Tendulkar, as they lose wickets regularly and finish 20 runs short.

Match 3 - my match, currently tied at 2-2 it seems.

Match 4 - Chennai win. RCB's bowlers aren't best suited to the conditions, and this allows Chennai to post a good total, and their spinners then strangle the life out of RCB's response.

Match 5 - RR win. I think the RR have a side which looks very good at chasing, and depite a fine spell from Swann late hitting from Razzaq just gets them over the line.

3 - Very close one this. I see Murali and Shakib restricting KXI with Kallis batting through finishing it off the last ball to win by 2 wkts

4 - CSK's spin attack is key as key contain and take wickets after posting a decent score

Match 1 - Deccan Chargers vs Kochi Tuskers - Kochi win Toss
C'mon Kochi!

Match 2 - Delhi Daredevils vs Mumbai Indians - Delhi win Toss, bat first
Delhi get away to a decent start and look to be building towards a good score but don't kick on at the death against Malinga and Gul. A couple of early wickets to Morkel sets back the Mumbai chase, and they come in a few runs short. Win to Delhi

Match 3 - Kings XI Punjab vs Kolkata Knight Riders - Kings XI win Toss and bat first.
This is a really tough one to call, in the end the KKR bowling line up swung it for me. KKR's batsman get off to an OK start, but Murali and Ohja strangle them in the middle. Some lusty blows from Ten Doeschate and Bresnan at the death bring the run rate up a little. In reply Gayle blasts a couple of boundaries before falling but Kallis steadies the ship and builds the innings well. Good hitting at the death from Morgan and Pathan sees them through.

Match 4 - Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings - Super Kings win Toss
CSK win - will post reasons tomorrow or Monday, I want to get some sleep, early start for the rugby in the morning

Match 5 - Pune Warriors vs Rajasthan Royals - Royals win Toss, field first
Another tough one. In spite of my (possibly irrational) dislike of Shane Watson as a bowler (I like him as a batsman, but he's a pie-thrower who gets lucky with the ball) I'll go with Royals. Will expand reasons later.
