anyone on here play international cricket captain, any of them?

Michael Munday, why do the makers rate him so much!

a game or 2 ago he would always take 100 wickets in a season, despite never really actually playing for somerset

Playing as England

James Taylor and Hildreth are essentials for Tests. Taylor is able to act as a second spinner as well.

does anyone else get bored doing the internationals, i spend a good couple of years getting a great county side together only to get the captaincy and see them lose all the time while im away. usually do a couple of years with england then quit and get my county side back in order. with somerset i won every competition last year, this year ive been knocked out group stages of t20 and one dayer becuase i was with england

tom westley is really progressing nicely for my essex side

i have just released, maurice chambers, and tim phillips

got a lot of youth players in my side now

how is everyone else doing on it at the moment?

Just won the county championship with Warks in my second season on normal mode, after finishing 5th in my first season.

The signings of Di Venuto and Ten Doeschate made a real difference to my batting, and N Tahir, Woakes and I Tahir (whom I retained as my overseas) did the damage with the ball. I had a young right arm fast bowler in my side too, but he didn't do too well, averaged 55 with the ball. Was good in spells, but generally wicketless and expensive. Not sure whether to persist with him?

hmmm maybe give him another season..

my essex side started off the season in bad form, but are starting to win games now .....

Came 3rd in the CC with Durham and got to the semis of the Twenty 20 Cup so not a bad season

I have sucked big time in the t20 to date, so have concentrated my efforts on the longer format.

with being england as well, my efforts are going into them at the moment while my essex side are challenging for one day honours

my side have turned into muppets, suddnely cant string any wins together

Downloaded cricket captain 2011 yesterday, hasn't changed much really, I wish they'd put more effort into the shot selection of the batsmen, the bowlers delivery types, and the graphics in general. Same with the commentaty, it's about time they got some new commentary after 3 seasons of the same...

I've got '11 and it is ok, though not much different in all honesty.

Just started my season with Warwickshire on it, drawn 3 and won 2 of my first 5 games, a solid if not spectacular start, with Ian Bell in incredible form averaging 82 so far.

im struggling with essex at the moment, losing silly games!

It is a cd game, however you have the ability to download it straight to your hard drive from their website, as opposed to installing it via cd, so I'd advise doing it that way.

I think it is £14.99.

Not sure, mate. As I said above though, the cd isn't required if you just download it straight from the website.

a season doesn't take too long, depends how long you want it to take really. If you stick with standard field settings etc then it is pretty quick, and also if you don't bother with highlights, but if you want to tinker with fields and watch a lot of highlights then it can take a while.

Can you play the match manually?

If you mean controlling your players, then no.

So what can we do?Only select the team?

Select the team, select the type of pitch you want for your home matches, set your fields and bowler/batsman aggression, ask someone to keep the strike etc.
