I have no choice regarding the hat, it was a birthday present from Galtova, along with a pair of gloves.

To clear matters up, LD, Galtova is from Russia via the US (the visit to Latvia was a non-family related holiday). I do have a Latvian friend though, his name is Edgars.
I keep quietish about the US bit so as not to provoke Shah.
