I think you back yourself unnecessarily into a corner with posts like this - it's not as if B-A was striking a blow for the haters when he broke back.

On your main point about RG, I'd agree that Djoko has not been singled out for favourable treatment.  As far as I can tell they never took to Nadal until he started to look vulnerable, they always loved Federer (being delighted when his name was etched onto the trophy), and most French Nationals.  Otherwise everyone has been treated at best with supercilious indifference and lack of empathy.

Is calling a spade a spade, illegal now? I have never heard bb say one positive word about the guy
That's not true.

He has a great hairstyle.

I can see Ferrer/Berdych taking Novak out if he survives today. He's not winning this title this year.

Djokovic gets it done eventually. 5 successive service breaks isn't it? Like a WTA match... Maybe the winner of it should get his prize money cut Wink

Goffin and Gulbis about to start shortly and Ferrer and Berdych should be taking to the court shortly. Thiem, meanwhile, leads Granollers 6-2 4-5.

Meanwhile - Djoko breaks when he has to and takes the second set.

If he wins the next two sets and the QF matches are not finished, today will have been a good day for Djoko.  To use a golfing analogy, winning matches like this is a bit like saving par when you've made a hash of a hole, good for the soul and a reminder to your opponents that you know how to get the job done when things aren't going all your way (as if they needed it).

Agut holds his serve. The longer he can do that the better for him. It keeps him competitive and heightens Novak's frustration and anxiety levels.

I'm liking Roberto. Looks like a version of Soderling. Like the way he's slowly climbed up the rankings and seems to be improving

Shows that 28 is now just the start of a players peak
