I agree, Fed's peak level is as good if not better than his glory years. However, he has poor games that cost him sets that he never used to do

I still think Rafa at his best was he best defender I ever saw, he gets more shots back in play. However I think Novak hit better shots on the defensive

Prime Nadal could make it quite awkward though when he got balls back; not necessarily deep but still uncomfortable to play.

I think with Rafa his passing shots were so supreme a short reply from him sometimes worked well as it brought the player into net

Well done Nole, congrats.

Fed played better than in Wimbledon but in some sense that makes this feel worse for me - he had chances today but he failed to take them. At Wimbledon, he just did not have those chances.
