Cipriani to Quins 2015/16
Just heard from a very reliable source that Cipriani has already agreed a deal to sign for Harlequins next season, replacing Nick Evans who is considering retiring at the end of the season.
I'm sure the move would be great for Cipriani in terms of rugby, he has experience playing with Danny Care at halfback and he'd be able to ignite an exciting Quins backline. Whilst he'd also fit in well with the clubs policy of developing young English talent.
However, a move back to the capital would be dangerous territory for Cipriani. He'd be back in the spotlight and there will be question marks surrounding his commitment and durability.
What do you think? Would it be a good move for both player and club?

Evans current contract doesn't end till 2016.
Botica signed a new contract that keeps him at Quins till 2017.

Wouldn't this be a breach of the rules? I thought they had to wait until Christmas or something before being able to approach someone out of contract in the summer. Smells fishy to me.

Shouldn't this be in the club section?

If its true surely he's matured enough now to keep himself out of trouble.
I would think Cipriani is better than Botica...

Is Evans contract until 2016 a confirmed playing contract? Not a switch to coaching etc at the end of the season?

Sounds highly questionable and unrelaibale to me. I suspect it's someone trying to create a discussion out of this piece that came out a few weeks back.

If robshaw4england has a reliable source then I believe him.
As for being good for club and country - I am not sure. Cipriani moving to the less glitzy Sale has given him a sense of groundedness. A no nonsense individual like Diamond obviously put Cipriani in his place. Not that Conor O Shea has a reputation for being soft but a move back to the capital could see Cipriani getting lured into old habits.
Advantage for Cipriani is that he'll be able to work with the likes of Brown,Yarde and Care in the backline. Quins do have a good track record with English talent.
Cipriani's got the ability but it would only work if he can keep his head down and stay out of trouble. It's much easier to do that in Sale than London.

There are quite a few things that don't add up here, and sounds like exactly the sort of rumour that gets created when a player's agent is preparing for that season's new contract negotiations.

Cips has already had recent contract negotiatons right?
COS also has a recent for calming trouble-maker types like young Care, Brown, Marler
