Nick Diaz is back

The MMA news just keeps a-coming this week!

Back in the UFC on a three fight deal - one of which looks likely to be against Anderson Silva in his return fight early next year.

Do you think they'll put Nick in against someone first, or hype the f**K out of the Silva fight for six months?

Either way, with Diaz in the house it'll be entertaining!

I'm guessing he'll be spouting off about how he should have a title fight upon his return.

Really have no interest in this guy, got to be the most overrated fighter in MMA. What are we going to get, more posturing & bad mouthing his opponents in & out of the cage? Looks great against guys a weight level below & guys a class/skill set below but against the top 5 or 10 at WW or MW? Against GSP & Condit looked out of his depth. Would prefer him to stay at WW & fight loser of Lawler vs Brown, like to see him stand & bang with these 2

Well, it's been announced. Jan 31st 2015: Silva v Diaz.

It's going to be big, two stars of the UFC. They don't really even need to hype it!

Bang on; Diaz v Brown would be a great fight, with relevance in the WW division.

I've not seen anything about whether the Diaz / Silva fight will be Diaz's first one back in the cage, mind you. Would they risk an injury jeopardising such a huge payday?

Diaz v Silva is classed as a superfight?

It's a main event?? Please....

I gather it's the main event at what will be UFC 183.

Really? I can only see a win here for Brown, ok Diaz has good BJJ but then again who doesn't at the top now? I don't see Diaz taking Brown down that easily & Brown has the better stand up & is stronger.

Diaz vs Silva, unless Silva has lost it mentally since the 2 Wiedman losses I can only see a win for him. He's bigger, stronger & has the better skill set.

It's a fun fight which will generate big interest.

Diaz is still a top 10 guy IMO and done what most do against GSP i.e. lose and against Condit is was a close fight.

Silva needs a comeback fight so why not against a guy coming up in weight and one which should be exciting.

As much of a Diaz fan I am he didn't deserve the GSP fight at the time he got it and he would have to win 3-4 fights to get a shot as the WW is stacked.

He's back again after 5 year ban reduced to 18 months can be back in August.

Happy for him, 5 year ban was riddiculous but can't say I'm interested in him coming back, a very overrated fighter in my opinion and a bad loser to go with it.
