Enzo calls out Cleverly

Enzo Maccarinelli has called out Nathan Cleverly to set up a domestic showdown.

Enzo has been planning to drop down a division and feels this is a fight that could have a big UK Audience.

what are your thoughts on this happening?

So the question is would Big Mac bust up the Clev? Hes got the tools to take Clev apart. Clevs old man been running off at the mouth and when Enzo sees him hes gonna close it

Cant see anything other than a cleverly win here. with some patchy moments due to him not moving his head and getting hit too much! but overall i can see cleverly winning this possibly by TKO in the later rounds.

to be fair i think most v2 posters would like to see you in the ring with clev, and most would pay ppv prices for it!

Id pay double the odds to see Coxy get his face rearranged by any fighter

I never realised me vs Clev was such a competitive matchup.

Emailing the WBO as we speak campaigning for me to get a shot based on my 4-0-0 (2ko) playground record and that i sparred a fair bit about 10 years ago.

Unbeaten record Cox, you are way to qualified for Warren to take such a chance.

Enzo is so far away from a title shot.

I would like to see Clev face Bellew. He hits quite hard and Clev has such a poor defence at times. I would still back Clev to win with a few scary moments.

In all fairness to EM, he has been sparked by notoriously big hitters at cruiser. Haye, Lebvedev and Frenkel all carry some pop and Afalobi was no mug. You wonder if a feather fisted Cleverley has enough to stop him. I'd fancy him on points but there's always the chance that Enzo could land flush.

It is more the manner of the knockouts. He was very, very badly hurt in all off them with some genuine concern for his health in the immediate aftermath.

Doubtful, think we'd rather see the mod team (windy aside) or D4 getting brutally knocked out

For the sake of boxing I wouldn`t want to see Enzo ever fight again.

Those are my thoughts too. While Enzo's chin is suspect, its only been big punchers who have taken him out recently. While Cleverley carries a decent skill set, he doesnt carry any snap in his punches.
If Enzo makes the weight without any ill effect and retains his power, I actually see this as a 50/50 fight.

surely enzo and cleverly must have talked about this before, or a least through other people.

Cleverley is going to get better and better. He's still young remember and while he may have let his guard down and got tagged he will learn from it. He's fast, strong and accurate. I did rate Enzo but I don't think he'd live with Cleverley now.

Steffan, you are the Enzo Mac of boxing forums.Or as Chumbawamba said, You get knocked down ,but you get up again.But nobody knows why.

Enzo got KO'd in his last fight,lost 4 out of 10 fights all by KO's but somehow thinks he deserves a shot at the world title get real Enzo.

If that fight ever did happen though early KO or stoppage victory for Cleverly.

Enzo has been stopped a few times but is a quality guy, lets not be silly about him eh

And Lee Swaby who was first to KO Enzo. Enzo has a punchers chance in a fight with Enzo but he really needs a ranking in light heavy division so at least a few fights before that one is made. I be shocked if that is his first world title defence against Enzo. I can only see Cleverly stopping Enzo and i would much prefer Enzo to hang up his gloves before the damage has long lasting effects on him. To be honest i cannot see this fight happening unless he has a few meaningful fights at light heavy which he wins.
