New WWE diva's champion crowned as Paige Debuts and defeats AJ   

I must say she is hot! and she's english!

I have to say it wasn't a great debut though,

not ready!?

I didnt like it.

I thought it was an awful booking for a debut, that got buy on the skin of it's teeth based on having such a knowledgeable crowd in attendance, if it had been in front of a crowd who weren't NXT watchers in bulk it would have bombed as it did nothing to get Paige or her anti-Diva character established.

That said I'm glad she won the belt.

I think thats why it was that night, House. They knew they'd pop for her. The shock factor is first, the build is next. I thought everyone on this website loved a shock?

Within 3 months she'll be Sheamus's girlfriend onscreen purely based on them both having pasty skin.

I dont think the anti-diva gimmick works up against AJ anyway

Still think they should of gone down the angle of her being in the Wyatt family as sister abigal, would of worked a lot better, as she is hardly "Diva" material. 

That being said, she is good in the ring which i guess is all that matters, but tbh when it comes to the women i don't care about the wrestling i just care what they look like.

Same here, i thought the booking was poor. Was hoping for some sort of wrestling masterclass from Paige, but all we got was the Paige turner.

Hopefully this leads to some sort of run where she grows more and more confident within in herself

My thoughts exactly. Paige is a hell of a lot better than what she showed last night. Don't know if it was nerves, but she was shaky on the mic. The Paige Turner looked awful as well, but only Natalya has sold that well.

Also I'm pretty sure AJ was wearing an engagement ring. Guess Punk's going to be a house-husband.

Everyone criticising Nick watches women's wrestling for their ability and the engaging storylines they tell I assume?

Surely im not the only one who thinks she's pretty hot?

In certain cases yes. Women like Paige, AJ Lee and Natalya are all attractive and more than capable of delivering great matches. However even if that wasn't the case there is a difference between not enjoying their performances and actively shouting about how all they're good for is something to look at, that kind of moronic, misogynistic attitude is what's holding the divas division back in the first place.

you can say I'm overreacting but considering how much we've seen people pushed due to online fan action, the general open dismissal of female athletes is doing nothing to ensure the WWE actually begin to invest in talented athletes (almost all of whom could run circles around the likes of us and a few of the male superstars)

Nick is only reacting to what WWE has fed him. I generally don't care about the Divas, and thats WWE's fault. Their presentation of Paige will be very interesting

TBH the divas exist to satisfy the superstars on tour.

I don't think it is the fans attitude that is holding them back.

Paige is hot as hell, not as hot as Kaitlyn but hot enough, and she can wrestle so happy to see where the she goes from here.

I would say, fair enough if you are with mates in the open world and having a laugh but this is a public forum where anyone can read it just like I wouldnt say certain things in ear shot of just anyone. Unless the guys who run this place are happy for it to be turned into a boys club.

My point would be that, actually, its reflective of the ridiculous notion the WWE has implanted with its portrayal of women's wrestling. He also did state (maybe reluctantly) that ring work was all that matters, I do get the point that if women's wrestling is going to be a pissbreak for the rest of PPV history then they may as well be attractive women for their clearly core male market to gaze at.

Its not particularly a point I share, but Nick's words are far less derogatory than the general standard of women's wrestling that WWE has put on for years.

It's hardly a boys club when one person says they care more about the way a woman looks than the way she wrestles.
 
I don't care for womens wrestling, it is pretty much always boring and not as good as mens. Therefore if there has to be women in wrestling (and I would happily watch a promotion where there weren't any) I too would rather they were attractive. Solely because there is nothing else about their involvement with the product I find enjoyable or entertaining.

I think it was a tongue in cheek comment and people are massively over reacting. The boys apologized, let it be eh?
