Great defence from Edinburgh. After what looked like a very promising year last year, you have to wonder what Nigel Davies was thinking over the summer. The front-row is still awful, Hudson is powder-puff weak in the tight, Tavis Knoyle is very, very average.

You just can't win games without any platform. How does he not see this?

I don't think that Gloucester's Loosehead is pushing straight.

This game is definitely there for the taking - need to keep this up.

Well played Embra - defence excellent.  Still some strange lineout calls when it is blowing a gale (MacArthur did the same for Glasgow on Friday - i.e. big long throws - brainless).    Big 40 coming up.

Edinburgh playing to their strengths and playing to the conditions. I hope the Glasgow team are watching, it is something they should have done on Friday. It does not always have to be pretty!

The wierdest thing right now is that I'm happy to watch Edinburgh play but not Glasgow purely for expectation levels

Well the kicking has certainly added a dimension to his game that we did not know he possessed. Very solid effort in not easy conditions. He is a much better full back though, his positioning is good and very solid under the high ball. One of the catches he made was absolutely top drawer.

Tonks was hinting in the paper today that we might see more of him at fly half, maybe it is an option worth pursuing. So far so good.

Nel is an incredibly poor technical scrummager.
