Was in a pub in Mansfield years ago when someone lobbed a canister in! Most of us thought it was the smoke machine, but a mate who was in the forces recognised the smell and advised us to get out asap. It did burn the eyes a bit.

It's our 6th anniversary tomorrow. Should I tell the wife I got her a card from a shop called "Ali's Cave"?

Yeah, no way are England going to chase down 531 and batting any further would have just been a waste of overs, especially with rain on the horizon.

What do England have a better chance of winning: this ashes series or the next football world cup?

I'm still very positive and optimistic generally... but some of the youthful idealism has worn off over the years. Mandela was so inspiring though and we should all take a few leaves out of his book. We should all aim for 10.

Do you think Mandela was genuinely 'great mates' with G.W. Bush... or privately thought "what a big-mouthed little cowboy this guy is!"

Oh, there's nothing wrong with being metrosexual. As long as you're pretty. Which Clarke isn't. And yes, Australia starting to do well probably hides it better.

With 2 MOTM performances behind him, will Mitchell Johnson suddenly turn into the 2010 slinger we all remember in the next test?
