Let me say this. Froch wins, TKO, in a war that matches the Hatton v Kosta bout for epicness.

Not easy bracketing guys into tiers like this... Because once you set the criteria its not always easy to seueeze the guys into them... but Marquez and Bradley would be two feeling a little short changed I think from your lists above.

Saw the weigh in, agree that he looked very pumped but to be fair I am not sure whether it matters for a character like Froch. He has so much self belief anyway I think on this occasion he is just showing his energy/confidence in a different way...

I remember he was quite pumped up before the Pascal fight and I would hardly say he was introvert at the weigh in against Bute but he seemed ok then.

There was a lot of talk about Kessler and his weight...the belief being he wasn't on weight this morning and has had to go away and do both a run and 'suit sauna' session. I'm not I hold much credence to that as he looked in good shape...though you never know.

What I did notice (unless it was just camera angle) was that Froch didn't look as cut as usual...and he was most certainly not as broad across the top (shoulders/chest) as I have seen before...whether he has changed his training slightly and is looking for a bit more speed or whether he has potentially overtrained...time will only tell!!

I did think that and given the manner of Marquez win over Pacman it perhaps is...but below that win I wouldn't say he has a glowing CV...that win (well the trilogy) is what makes it great...otherwise his victories over Diaz, Casamayor, Katsidis, Juarez & a slightly past it Barrera, in my opinion, aren't any better than Froch's.

As for Bradley, he falls into the 'could move into the next bracket' category should he get another huge win....one which isn't shrouded in controversy.

There are different levels of greatness, and I guess to some extent you have to allow for some leeway depending on who you're debating the concept of it with, as we all have our own idea of what constitutes 'great.'

However, I'd personally struggle to class Froch as a 'great' fighter in the proper, true sense of the word as things stand. A great British fighter if you like, but in overall terms I think Froch falls in to the very, very good category.

Using the kind of modern parameters that Owen has set out, obviously you've got your Mayweathers, Pacquiaos, Whitakers, Joneses, Chavezes etc. All nailed-on all time and elite greats, who'd have achieved that status with no trouble at all even in the days of far fewer weight classes with only one champion in each.

Underneath that, there's a group who don't quite belong in that absolute highest bracket, but still deserve 'great' status as far as I'm concerned. I'm thinking of the likes of De la Hoya, Trinidad, Marquez and the like.

I don't think Froch can really command a place amongst that second group, realistically speaking.

I didn't think Froch was over the top, his adrenaline was pumping but he was under control and his discussion with Kessler looked cordial. It was hardly like Hatton losing it pre Mayweather.

Defo, Chilemba did that cut throat thing to Bellew, a good sign in my mind. I mean that screams, I'm scared, a little, right?

Bellew looked very calm and if anything Chilemba was the one who looked nervous.

That being said, if it goes like the last fight or similar Chilebma will win, Bellew needs to ensure that he doesn't load up on everything he throws this time to have a chance.

And he needs to whack the body more, he just bombed away at his head last time and gassed out after 7.

Chilemba is the better boxer but i think he lacks a little venom. Tony can do this, if, he is patient and willing to steal rounds with body shots.

I think Chilemba is going to surprise us this time, I like Bellew a lot, but I don't think this one is going to go his way

If it doesn't then fair enough, he reached his peak, which is not quite world level. Chilemba does not KO people often, this should be enough for Bellew to get on him.

With the crowed behind Froch, if he boxes smart with his head then I think he will win a decision. But something tells me he is going to go all guns blazing and I think While Kessler may have lost bit of movement he is hitting his hardest and is going catch Froch and stop him for the first time. Gona be a bit of a shock I think.

Everytime Froch fights all his fans say he is gonna stop his opponent and it vary rarely happens. He may win on points (hometown decision) but no way at all does Froch stop Kessler. He didnt stop him first time and he aint gonna stop him this time

I'm a fan of both these guys Steffan, huge fan of Kessler in fact. But I think that the home crowd will lift Froch to a new level. You can't ignore the disruption that he had during the build up to the first fight either.
