First topic message reminder :

I thought in the spirit of all things right, wrong and indifferent in regards to the hacks that comment on our sport, there should be a place in 606V2 that sports journo's were rightfully corrected for the magnanimous mistakes we constantly uncover as enthusiastic rugby disciples.

Ben Evans? I doubt the former Swansea and Wales tighthead is still playing rugby, and even if he is, he doesn't play for the Dragons!

It's a good-news story, but this is typically poor from the Beeb:

'The Dragons Academy made his debut for the region at the age of 17 against the Ospreys in 2010.'

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/21048361

Where's the quality control?

More great work from the BBC:

'Scarlet Aaron Shingler is at blind-side flanker, with Sam Warburton and Toby Faletau in the back row.'

MATCH SQUADS
WALES: Leigh Halfpenny (Blues); Alex Cuthbert (Blues), Jonathan Davies (Scarlets), Jamie Roberts (Blues), George North (Scarlets); Dan Biggar (Ospreys), Mike Phillips (Bayonne); Gethin Jenkins (Toulon), Matthew Rees (Scarlets), Adam Jones (Ospreys), Andrew Coombs (Dragons), Ian Evans (Ospreys), Josh Turnbull (Scarlets), Sam Warburton (Blues, capt), Toby Faletau (Dragons).

On the sports bit on BBC Breakfast this morning, England beating Ireland was the headline story, but then they went straight to the football. Would it have killed them to mention that Scotland and Wales had also won?. It would have taken them a couple of seconds.

In fairness Lucky the other 2 games were on Saturday not Sunday. Though if they mentioned soccer games that were played on Saturday then it's a legitimate gripe.

No wonder England won on Sunday- according to the BBC's starting lineup, England were starting with 16 men, with Lawes covering the mythical position between number 8 and scrum half.

Listening to Radio 1 Saturday morning and in the news they were talking about 'Rob Jones' captaining Wales and played an interview clip with Howley saying how reliable he is.

I'm no Welsh rugby expert, but I'm pretty sure RYAN JONES was captaining Wales. This continued through every news bulletin from around 8am till the game...

But he's not a commentator you moron.

It's like asking Adam Jones to take over at scum half and then moaning that he's 'utterly terrible' at being a scrum half.

This thread was intended purely for the crimes of professional hacks, but this madge character is so bad that I query whether behind his malaise there is some madman with a wish to create an idiot savant i.d. to niggle at everyones pained reading?

I wouldn't even forgive the pathetic excuse of claiming dyslexia, I am a dyslexic. I take more time to re-read, check my mistakes, google possible errors and get on with it.

This guy is either someone taking the mickey or just plain lazy.

Does this years 6ns show that Odriscoll should retire from international rugby? and not even think about going on the Lions tour?

Dont get me wrong he has been a great ambassador for the game, his try scoring has been great when he is.has been on form one of the best player's of the game.

But today showed if any thing age, has finaly cought up with him. He and Ronan Ogara should both retire straight after the 6n from international rugby.

Do you agree or disagree?

More great work from the Dragons website team:

'Edwards has also put faith in young gun Jack Dixon who will create a new centre pairing alongside Pat Leach. They last played side by side away from home against Bath at the Rec.'

http://www.newportgwentdragons.com/News/Article/24100

Actually, they last played together against Glasgow the other week. It was quite a noteworthy match. Rolling Eyes
