Day 5 is just about to kick off with Spain and Australia in the men's hockey - the Aussies are called the Kookaburras.

I think today is the start of the gold rush, chances in rowing and most importantly.......

Cancellara looks to be in a lot of distress. He was clutching his injured shoulder at the finish and he's clearly in pain.

They're half an hour late, tut tut. Jake is really coming on well. To be honest, looking at BBC One and Three the only two weak ones are Mishal Hussain and Sonali Shah. Rest I like.

The opposite is happening with me, I'm getting more annoyed with Ian Thorpe. He's intelligent enough, it's just one of those unexplainable things when somebody annoys you.

Iam Thorpe is ok but i can understand how he annoys people. He can be very smug at times.

Garth Crookes annoys the hell out of me, i cant think of a worse pundit in any sport. Its a shame because he was once an excellent football player.

How is the sailing maesteg, any medal chances?

The GB men's hockey team have drawn 2-2 with the Saffers, a poor result given that South Africa are supposedly the weakest team in the group.

The match racing, after the current round robin series the top eight make the quarter finals for a knock out stage.

We are looking pretty good in all events down here on the south coast.

As i wrote earlier, what i really like about the Olympics is the fact that we all get excited about them and watch sports that we would never normally watch. When we dont understand them, there is always a knowledgable poster out there to explain them to us

GB women have lost to Italy in straight sets in the volleyball and the men have lost in straight sets to Norway in the beach volleyball. Never mind, Andy Murray has just won in 3 sets and is through to the quarter-finals to keep the dream alive.

And now the GB women's basketball team has lost to Russia 67-61 which equals a third straight defeat.

I'm no expert, but that seems like a good result against Russia, despite losing.

Interesting thought, but I wonder how much jurisdiction anti-doping officials have in that country.

Why does Gary Linekar always distinguish between Northern Irish and Brittish? Are they all not on the GBR team?

19:30 could be our next medal with Jamieson and Willis both in the 200m breaststroke final. Lowe & women's 4x200m team also in swimming finals. GB men's football team kick off at 19:45 against Uruguay needing a point. GB boxers Luke Campbell (20:30) and Anthony Joshua (23:15) are also in action. Come on GB!

Well NI are part of the team but they're separate from Great Britain. The official team name is something like 'Team Great Britain and Northern Ireland'.

The official name of the team is Team Great Britain. Athletes from Northern Ireland are allowed to choose whether they want to compete for GB or the Republic of Ireland, so it's not actually GB & NI.

Bradley Wiggins is one of the greatest ever cyclists and sportsman from GB but he also comes across as such a humble and really likeable person.

I still like Barry Davies's 'where were the Germans? But frankly, who cares?' comment from the hockey final in 88. He even parodied it the other night when the GB women's hockey team were routing South Korea.

It's the Olympics, I don't see any problem with the British Broadcasting Company getting behind the British team and losing some of their impartiality.

I realy disliked her at first but i really think that she is doing a great job
