Re: Olympics Day 3
Great day sailing in the Star Class down here in Weymouth today. Ian Percy and crew Andrew Simpson moved into first place.
They won gold in Beijing, Percy also took gold in Sydney in a different type of boat called the Finn, which our Three times Gold Medalist Ben Ainslie no races in.
Unfortunately none of the other British teams did well today.

Just wanna say, fantastic result by the men's gymnastics team earlier. Pity it wasn't silver but we'll certainly take bronze.

Some vile twitter troll is threatening to kill Tom Daley after previously saying he let his dad down. What a sicko.

Before the 606, this forum, facebook and Twitter. people had more respect. These mediums will always provide the 'keyboard warrior' with ammunition.

Not sure they did, they just didn't have the guts to say these things without the barriers to hide behind in their cowardice

Are you sure it was called 'Going for Gold'? I searched for it, but apparently it was on during the 80s and a short run in 2008...

Yeah it is called 'Going for Gold', it's just that was also the name of an old game show so I got confused.
It was only on BBC America last night.

You must get a slightly different one. When you were saying 'Going for Gold' the other day, I looked through all of Freeview and couldn't see it, assumed it must have been on a channel I didn't get. I get all the BBC channels though.

I am not sure but i think family guy was on- BBC obviously pay royalties to show that- but clearly dont pay to show it abroad in that segment, therefore replace with other shows.

Why the group hug after every point in volleyball? Slightly tedious.

Yeah, I think we get 3 as well, one of them isn't on a major BBC channel though.

I agree! I've only seen the Team GB women though, I assumed it was just them because of the cheers, is it all of them?

Both sides are doing it. Made me laugh when our lot went into a hug frenzy after the algerians fluffed a serve!
Apparently it would be a "great moment" if GB won an Olympic set. If that happens I expect a full on love fest.
