Don't Like Adam Booth

Here's why.

1. He swears too much in interviews.
2. He looks like the human equivalent of cheese.
3. He has a very peculiar stare: He looks like he has never met another human when speaking to them/ and is about to drool down himself.
4. He speaks down to ifilmlondon and anyone else that interviews him.
5. He thinks he's funny and laughs at his own jokes.
6. He tries to use expressive language but often gets the meaning wrong.
7. He is coy when his fighter isn't.
8. He thinks he is good looking.
9. He thinks he is strong.
10. When asked questions he is looking for the interviewer to make a mistake and then pounces on them.
11. Seems to think that having two inactive fighters in his stable makes him an elite trainer.
13. Seems to guard his 'secret' training ideas such as hitting a punch bag as if it's revolutionary.
14. Looks down on everyone, including you, reader.
15. Has no real talent as a trainer.
16. Has frog eyes.
17. Is stupid.
18. Is smug.
19. Thinks being coy is cool.
21. Has a shiny head that reminds me of one sweaty nut.

Don't like him.

I like him for the following reasons;

1) He clearly upsets Frank Warren
2) He cleary upsets Jim McDonnell
3) He did a very interesting piece on Ringside about the tactics Groves used to beat DeGale
4) I see his smugness as confidence
5) He kicks his dog (slander, but they are stupid animals anyway)
6) He clearly makes davidemore feel incredibly insecure about his own life which hopefully the e-man can choose to learn from.

Just wondering when the moderators will tire of this drivel and ban Davide from the boards. Many were willing to give him the opportunity to prove he was morer than the tragic waste of DNA he'd previously shown himself to be but in recent weeks, it seems clear that veneer has cracked and the old Davide is returning. Is it not best that we amputate and cauterize asap lest the infection spread?

Can assure you Davide will not be getting banned (at least by my hand) any time soon, he discusses boxing 95% of the time and his occasional forays into the realms of irreverance are infrequent enough to be an amusement rather than an irritant as far as I am concerned.

Agree with Tino's view on the OP much more than Davide's but agree with Rowley that these forays are very occasional and there's a nice balance at present.

Dave667, what can i say? You got to look at the words, feel them, embrace them. Only then you will see that it is indeed boxing related, never to be hated, slightly uneducated, informal chatter.

Booth does a job when a job is there to be done, against Drone he may have given good advice on how to fight him, but he did not inspire Haye to take it or go for it. I hope he did not avise him to mention the toe, but knowing old cheese face he may well have. I don't actually know im, of course.

Number 15 is nonsense. He is a good trainer look at how much George Groves has improved over the last couple of years. He needs to take credit for that Groves is becoming a very good fighter. His tactics for Groves were spot on for the DeGold fight and he is another one who will become a top fighter.

Groves is inactive and really needs to be pushed and fighting regularly.

This is Booth's next test Sugar, will he do this for his career? I hope so. Love Groves, pure fighter.

Great point Alma, inactivity kills a young fighter, fact.

He had a bit of bad luck with injuries but he was impressive against Smith and his win over DeGold was very impressive even if it was very close. I would like to see him fight more often he should be fighting 3 or 4 times a year but maybe they are taking the Haye approach he was never that active he felt his time was better served in the gym getting good sparring which Groves gets rather than beating stiffs.

Groves needs fights, he has had two in almost two years. Awful stats for a fighter who Booth says has a lot to learn. Well, put him in there Booth! Let him grow, he seemed well frustrated in his recent ifilmlondon interview. He knows he's on the shelf. Warren has a few great young talents waiting around, not fighting regularly.

2. Bellew
3. Chunky

I agree there are very few fighters around who I think are active enough. The old timers were very active but they fought a lot of soft touches in between the big fights.

Modern fighters are more of the mindset that good sparring is better than 8 rounds with a walkover. But they don't get the exposure.

Younger fighters should be out on almost a monthly basis until they get to British level then I would still like to see them out at least 4 times a year.

Sparring doesn't pay the bills though Sugar. Quite the opposite in fact. These fighters deserve fights to build, it's a short career after all.

Number 3 the peice on Groves fighting De Gale and avoiding the grinder made that episode of ringside my fav ever. You beat me to it Tino mentioning that.

It's not an idea that I'm putting across as the right one I'm saying that this was how Booth and Haye did things with Haye. They were never that active and felt that good sparring was better than rounds in the ring in front of a crowd. I was just saying that this might be the thinking with Groves. The injuries haven't helped mind you.

What did he say on Haye's big toe hurting against Drone? What were his tactics for that fight? To blag a big payday then bang on about a blinking toe??? Great tactics. Awful fight.

I hear you Sugar but Haye was fighting more regularly than Groves, and that is saying something. Plus Groves is coming off a huge win, and sitting on it. Injuries aside he should be more active, one injury does not justify the shelf he sits on.

Who knows maybe after the olympics he will pick up a few more fighters. I wouldnt mind seeing him train Anthony Joshua

Groves has been injured rather a lot. I got a feeling injuries will niggle him loads in his career

And Warren Paul. Warren wants one hit wonders now, he doesn't groom his fighters anymore. Brook left for that reason.

He's had a couple of injuries and he changed promoter which has held him up. I would love to have seen him out this year but it hasn't happened and Frank still hasn't set a date for Groves v Anderson yet which is really disappointing.

BTW Bellew had a hand injury after the Cleverly fight which meant he couldn't fight before April.

But he was fit way before he got a run out on someone else's bill!

Warren is a one hit wonder promoter, he doesn't groom anymore, he just looks to put them in with an in-house foe!

I feel that groves inactivity is more down to Injuries then promoting. Also Kell Brooks only really beaten Matthew Hatton since he went to Eddie and lets be honest Matthew isnt even the best boxer in his family.

Yeah but Paul you miss the point. The point is he is fit, active, building a huge fanbase, and fighting very regularly. Taking out a couple of yanks next will boom his profile and deliver a genuine belt. What did Warren do?

He couldn't do any sparring, pad work or bag work before January because of his hand injury. He kept himself fit mind you he was in the best shape of his career for McIntosh.

I agree with you on Warren. If it isn't all in house then it usually a human punching or a nurse his fighters some across.

Booth thought it was someone else when that happened. He then had a childish potshot at the Drone's manager, classless.

Boente isn't exactly a classy guy either he si always saying some nonsense about Haye then saying they have no interest in a fight. Well say nothing about the man then. I like the K Bros I think they are 2 excellent fighters and 2 classy guys but their manager is a muppet.
