As the title says, can someone explain how the CSS in a competition is worked out? I've just played my weekly medal at my club (par 68) and the CSS for today was 66 despite not one of the 23 players in Division 1 matching that total. The winner had a net score of 67. So how can the CSS be 2 below the par when not one golfer scored below the CSS??
