For not making weight.

Hope Garcia wins now, someone as experienced as Erik should know better

Stripped out of frustration they'll lose out on their huge sanction fee no doubt!!!!!

Never mind I'm sure they'll be lot's of other alphabet boys ready and willing to give a great money-spinner like Morales a belt.....

Hope Morales wins still........always had a soft spot for him..

Maybe he'll come to the blue oyster one day...so we can show our appreciation!!!!Cool

Hit and run T-bone!!

Run along, its after 9pm, adult only time on 606v2 Wink

Haha just kiddin.

I just think its a lil disrespectful on Garcia. Biggest fight of your life and excuses have been written already if you win.

It is or was a championship fight, a bit of maturity should be shown. Don't expect this carry on from such an experienced legend. Dispointed, its taken the shine of the fight a little for me

Suprising that WBC have stripped a Mexican favourite... chances are, should he lose, he'll be a mandatory for the belt again.

I love Morales, but he should never have had the belt in the first place

That's not the meaning e didn't make the weight, he just says why he didn't bother trying to cut the final 2 lbs in the 2 hour window like rios did vs Murray or Alvarez vs hatton

Makes you wander how serious morales is though as he is a natural/prime featherweight and is by no means a big LWW

He shouldn't have been given the belt in the first place. But if a boxer cant make weight he should be stripped of the title. But watch the WBC give him a title shot soon enough.

I think he's deadly serious but at 35 after a fairly gruelling 59 fight career his body wont do what he wants it do any more, a warrior like him ages worse than men like Martinez, Hopkins or even Marquez.

He looked paunchy and out of shape in the ring. I'm surprised he was even within 2 lbs of the limit

Yeah got to agree, he had a fantastic fight with Maidana in which he put in a gallant effort, yet lost, then outhustled a young slightly novice but good fighter in Cano, but Garcia had too much for him and wasn't particularly great himself. Just too much energy and too much workrate for the older fighter. He just couldn't pull it off, no shame in it, but think it's about time to hang up the gloves, he's had a wonderful career and one of my all time favourite fighters. A real warrior.

Morales has got to retire, been a modern time great and a true Mexican warrior, don't want to see him go the same way as RJJ getting beat by fighters he would have stood on their heads in his prime..

Think people are being a bit harsh on Garcia here, even at his best Morales was too small to compete at even lightweight so don't think a younger fitter version of him does too much in the 140lb division anyway, Maidana somewhat flattered him.

The WBC will grant him a retirement fight for the super duper title. Ot perhaps Paq/Arum would want to set the record straight and fight him at 144.
