The guy deserved to be WWE Champion. And I will disagree with anyone who says otherwise. His charisma and mic work was incredible. No-one can fault his in ring skills either. He may not have been the biggest guy (although nowhere near the smallest) but his lie cheat and steal gimmick made up for this perfectly. No matter how big and bad the opponent was, it was always believable that he could win the match.

Thoughts?

I thought he DID become WWE Champion???

He beat Brock Lesner, and then hugged Chris Benoit after the match. Dunno what PPV it was.

Most likely...and I know he was due another run with it in a feud with Batista before his death.

He beat Lesnar at No Way Out. I'm not sure if there was an embrace with Benoit after that match. There was after the Wrestlemania 20 main event in which Benoit won the World Heavyweight title though. Guerrero had beaten Angle earlier in the show. Excellent little finish to that match as well.

Sorry yeah maybe I wasnt clear enough. He did win it at No Way Out (the Benoit hug was at the following Wrestlemania). But I have seen a few people saying he didnt deserve it or he wasnt credible as champion. IMO he was.

he was so over in his final months. after beating lesnar he celebrated with the crowd which may have been his family, so crowd/family
