Most Hated Songs

First topic message reminder :

Following on from Aberdeensteve's thread about your most favourite tunes, is there a song or maybe a list of them that just drive you mental when you hear them - a bit like someone scraping fingernails down a blackboard. Let's form a list of the songs we all should avoid for the sake of our sanity. You'll be doing the public a service. Here's some suggestions from me to kick things off:

Lady Gaga - Bad Romance
Rihanna - Any of her songs cause it's her nasal voice that is GBH to my ears.
Jessie J - Do It Like A Dude
James Blunt - You're Beautiful
Robbie Williams - Angels

I hate all songs by Oasis. Being from Manchester I sadly hear it an awful lot.

And I hate all black eyed peas, I don't really want to hear what William thinks he does all the time.

Murder On The Dancefloor - Sophie Ellis Bextor. Stupid lyrics over a tinny dance track sung by a posh girl who sounds really plummy on it.

Back on topic, I absolutely cannot stand Bjork. Looks weird, sounds even worse.

Sorry Dyre, have to disagree. She's got a posh nasal singing voice and she was awful with The Audience. She is pretty though I'll give you that.

Bjork's got a great voice and on some tracks it suits. I liked some of the stuff she did with The Sugarcubes ("Birthday" "Hit"). On her own, "Hyperballad", "Army of Me" and "All Is Full Of Love". are good tracks.

I liked the Sugarcubes, they were bonkers.

I hate anything by Nickelback and their goat-resembling singer.

dyrewolfe, can't you just accept that we have different views of what constitutes 'quality music?' I don't like Nickelback, you do like them; why do you have to insult me because of it?

I hate Florence and the Machine's version of 'You Got the Love.' Her singing towards the end is just plain bad.

I don't expect everyone to share my taste in music at all. I'm probably just a little oversensitive as I've heard so much bashing of the band...mostly by "haters" who just don't like any band thats commercially successful.

As Bon Jovi said (via their album title) 100 million people can't be wrong.

Cee Lo Green's voice is starting to get on my nerves, not helped by the fact that they'll play his singles without considering whether or not they're any good.

Ugh, anything by the Lighthouse Family. I swear you'd die of boredom if you had to listen to that bloke's voice for long enough.

That stupid "Sex on fire" song. Forget who sang it, but I had to mute the radio every time it came on.

That was by Kings of Leon. Believe it or not, their first two albums were really good, their debut album especially, but they decided to 'go stadium.' In fairness, they've probably made a fortune!

Shania Twain - Man I Feel Like A Woman - THE most annoying intro, crap attempt at feminist lyrics and just utter poo.

Won't argue with you there Cari. Don't like that song myself.

Musical QI Fact:
Shania Twain is (or was) also Mrs John "Mutt" Lange, uber-producer for the likes of Def Leppard and Bryan Adams...and presumably Shania Twain.

Nauseating lyrics and a horrible whiny voice that made me want to stick kebab skewers in my ears.

Scouting For Girls - She's So Lovely
Infantile lyrics, annoying pub piano and the singer's grating Cockney accent. Makes me want to stick kebab skewers in the entire band. Should be tried for crimes against music.
