What album are you listening to...

I'm looking for some good recentish albums to get.

Anyone got any good suggestions?

The Arctic Monkeys new album is pretty good - much less heavy than Humbug (which I loved, however).

The Strokes new one has yet to take me to be honest, much prefer the older stuff.

Would say the Foo Fighters newest is decent too.

Noah and the Whale.

Super album. Gentle guitars and melodies.

What type of music do you like? Will narrow it down in terms of recommendations

I'm beyond albums, everything made these days is a horrid deja vu...nobody's gotta say anything decent, it's just a moan, moan, moan, followed y another moan...
Last album I listened to was actually A Hard Days's Night by the Beatles...

The new album isn't up to their usual standard but after a few listens I'm enjoying it.

The last 3 albums I downloaded (legally, I swear!) were the Vaccines, the National (the latest one) and Villagers. I would highly recommend them to anyone, particularly the Vaccines!

Sound of Madness - Shinedown (some AMAZING songs on there)
Liberation Transmission - Lostprophets
Blackbird - Alter Bridge

At the moment Dio Holy Diver with a second Cd An Evening with Dio recorded at the Astoria

I love going back now and again and rediscovering stuff I've had for ages. Recently I've been playing U2's October album to death I love it. My most recent new discovery was the "Becoming A Jackal" album by Villagers which is also superb.

Three fantastic albums there mate, great taste in music. Particularly the Shinedown album, what are your favourites off it? Breaking Inside would be my favourite.

I recently started listening to Los Campesinos! and Frightened Rabbit.... fantastic bands! I wouldn't know which albums to recommend (I have yet to purchase any... this will soon change), but would recommend listening to them!

Hard to pick a favourite. Breaking Inside is definitely one of the best tracks on there, but I also really like the title track, Second Chance, Cry for Help, The Crow and the Butterfly and What A Shame.

Second Chance is a brilliant song also, there is a lot of emotion in the whole album. Devour is another favourite of mine just for the intro, absolutely epic!


The album I am currently most listening too is the new Funeral For A Friend album. Won't be everyones cup of tea but to anyone you enjoys that genre I throughly recommend it.

I'd reccommend 'High Violet' by The National. Kind of like an American Joy Divusion and Smiths hybrid, excellent songs, intelligent, witty lyrics.
