So yesterday's games.

In the Championship.

I was at the Barrow/Dewsbury game (finally ticked of Barrow as ground never been to).
Strange game, Dewsbury started off like a house on fire and fully deserved there it lead (though thought the sending off was abit harsh, maybe a sin binning). 2nd half Barrow where really good (Especially Ritson), and deserved to win 44-28.
The other game in Cumbria saw Whitehaven win the west Cumbria derby at Workington 28-6. Bradford's poor season continues as Batley beat them 40-12 (only one more game Beast). Leigh win again this time 58-6 at London Broncos. York beat Newcastle in Newcastle 24-18.

The final league games in League one.
Doncaster stuff London Skolars 70-22, Midland beat Cornwall 42-26. Oldham beat Hunslet 30-18, and Champions Keighley get the perfect season (winning every game), as they beat Rochdale away 56-24.

So next week's play off games.
In league 1, Swinton get the week off by finishing 2nd. In the Qualifying sf (loser gets a 2nd chance), North Wales will play Doncaster. In the elimination play off Rochdale will face Oldham.

I saw Hudds v Salford, I agree the latter were very good with and without the ball. Croft, Ormondroyd and Taylor stand outs for me. Whether they can beat Saints next weekend without Croft however I am not so sure but they are good to watch and long may that continue.

Leeds will play St. Helens after they overcome a very stubborn Salford 19 - 12. Saints deserved their win IMO Matty Lees/Agnatius Passi superb but massive credit to Salford who hung on, closed to 1 point and left everything on the pitch.

I thought today's game in particular was outstanding the type of intensity I would like to see more often.

Morgan Knowles however will IMO be very lucky to play in the final after frankly a terrible "tackle" on Chris Atkin with a "chicken wing" tackle aka a Ju Jitsu Kimura arm lock.

The other results from this weekend.

In the Championship play offs.
The suprising result I guess, was York's great win at Halifax 26-24. They will now go to Leigh. In the other game Barrow's brilliant season has now ended as they lose at home to Batley 18-8. Batley are at Featherstone.

In league 1
Swinton knock out Doncaster with a 32-12 win. And Rochdale get a great result at North Wales 36-20.
Next week Doncaster host Rochdale for the right to play Swinton in the promotion final.

In the NCL.
These are all promotion finals, with the winners moving up a league.
In the NCL 1 Wigan St Patricks beat Skirlaugh 32-6. In NCL2 Clock Face beat Woolston 20-18. And in NCL 3 Shaw Cross win at Oldham St Annes 30-18.

And in the Women's grand Final Leeds beat York 12-4.

ROLL OF HONOUR 2022.

Sydney Roosters women - Nrl women's champions.

St Helens Women- Women's challenge cup Winners.

Carcassonne - French Champions.

Leigh - 1895 cup winners.

I had not seen that much until recently but he has lit up the game when I have, terrific signing for Salford.

Super League GF Saturday. Should be an excellent game if the semi's are a guide.

I have to say I am staggered that Morgan Knowles is playing, IMO frankly it stinks. The original 2 game ban seemed right to me, should he make a significant contribution in a Saints win (he usually does) there may be some bitterness in the aftermath.

Best side in the competition last few years, and to be honest dominated the game in my opinion (though how often they used there forwards trying to barge over was surprising). To be honest thought Leeds did well to keep it 24-12.

Today's Championship Semi Finals.

Leigh Hammer York 70 - 10

In a BIG shock Batley win at Featherstone 26 - 32. Very well played Craig Lingard and Batley, great result.

It was a great result, to cap what has been an amazing season for Batley. Unfortunately I just can't see them doing anything against Leigh.

In the division 1 play off, Doncaster beat Rochdale 52 - 20 to set up another meeting with Swinton for promotion.

The NRL grand final will be between Penrith (3rd final in a row, current holders), and Parramatta.

Terrible news,
With the passing of Adam Walker at 31. As a former Rovers player, saw him a few times. A better player than was appreciated.
My thoughts go to his family and friends.
