The rest of the weekend's results.

The last Women's game see's Wales gey a brilliant result against Italy women, winning 60-0.
In the wheelchair international, England beat France 62-48.
And in the Men's international. France beat Wales 34-10.

In the NRL.
The big game see's Parramatta return to winning ways, beating Sydney Roosters 26-14 (there are aome brilliant tries in this game). St George cause a shock as they beat
South Sydney 32-12. North Queensland continue there great form, coming back from 26-12 down to win at Manly 28-26. Melbourne beat Brisbane 32-20. Cronulla win a scrappy game against Gold Coast 18-10. New Zealand's poor season continues as they are the latest side to lose to the Penrith juggernaut 40-4. Canberra beat Newcastle 20-18. And Canterbury beat West Tigers 36-12.

Next week sees the return of the English leagues.
But the NRL has a week off, as there are 3 internationals (New Zealand v Tonga, Samoa v Cook Islands and Papua New Guinea v Fiji). A women's international New Zealand v Tonga. And the 2nd game of the state of origin, plus the women's state of origin.

Last night's SL game.

St Helens continue to roll on beating Leeds 42-12.
Saints are just brilliant, though not sure about a couple of there tries (The Grace one should never have been given), they are the best side in SL. Tetevano deserved to be sent off, and just when is Bentley going to stop being the liability he's been this year.

Agreed, I would not be surprised to see the Giants in the GF this year. McQueen to my mind is favourite to be Man of Steel

So today's games.

In SL the South of France had a great day, where as the city of Hull didn't.
The big clash saw Catalans bounce back from last week's defeat, by beating leaders St Helens 20-18. Toulouse also picked up a valuable win in there struggle to stay in the league, beating Hull KR 28-6.
Hull FC got stuffed at home by Leeds 62-16.

In the Championship
Featherstone bounced back from last week's defeat, to beat Newcastle 58-22.

And in league one,
Cornwall put in an impressive performance but it's just not enough as they lose to Hunslet at home 36-24.

Today's games.

In SL.
Wigan make Toulouse's win yesterday more important, by winning away at Wakefield 46-22. And Warrington return to losing as they get beat by Salford at home 32-24.

In the Championship.
Leigh continue there dominance, winning at Bradford 56-6. But the main news is at the bottom. Where London Broncos beat Sheffield 36-28, opening abit of a gap between them and the bottom 2, after Dewsbury lose at home to Halifax 12-38 (Halifax continuing there great form), and Workington lose at home to Widnes 38-0. Workington are pretty much down.
In the other games, Whitehaven get a great point after drawing 26 all at Batley. Barrow also get a great win away at York 24-16.

In league 1.
Keighley continue there form (there season and the way they've strengthened is like Leigh) as they decimate West Wales 86-0. Doncaster continue there recent run, getting a good away win at Swinton 26-12. Rochdale also get an away win, beating Midlands 42-34. And North Wales, after there recent poor results, return to winning ways beating London Skolars 30-16.

This weekend's NRL scores.

The big game was in New Zealand, where for the 1st time since before covid the New Zealand Warriors played a home game. And they won, beating West Tigers 22-2. Manly beat Melbourne 36-30, in a game the scoreline doesn't reflect, as Manly where dominant to the last 10 minutes when Melbourne scored 4 tries. Newcastle beat Gold Coast 38-12. Penrith continue there excellent season, beating Sydney Roosters 26-18. In a game that was hampered by the weather, Canterbury lost at Home to Cronulla 6-18. North Queensland put Brisbane to the sword winning 40-26. South Sydney beat Parramatta 30-12. And St George win v Canberra 12-10 (though how the final tackle wasn't a penalty to Canberra I don't know).

So the league tables at the start of July.

In SL. The play off places are,
St Helens still top the table with 28 points, then come Wigan (26), Catalans (24), Huddersfield (23), Castleford (18), and finally Hull FC (16).
With Salford and Hull KR just outside on 14 points.
The relegation place is still Toulouse (6), but after this weekend they cut the gap to Wakefield (who are just outside) to 4 points.

In the Championship, the play offs places.
Leigh top the standings on 32 points, then come Featherstone (29), York (26), Halifax & Batley (24), and then Barrow (21). With Bradford top of the teams outside 3 points behind Barrow.
The relegation places are filled by Workington bottom on 2 points, and then Dewsbury (4). 3 points behind London Broncos.

In League one.
The automatic promotion place (top of the table), is Keighley who have 24 points, and a points difference of 489.
In the play offs, Swinton are 2nd on points difference, from North Wales and then Rochdale who all have 18 points. Then it's Doncaster (16), and last Hunslet (13).
5 points behind are Oldham.

In the NRL.
Top is Penrith (30), then its Melbourne & North Queensland on (24). Cronulla (22), Brisbane & Parramatta both on 20, South Sydney & St George on 18.
With Manly just outside the play offs on 16 points.

Next weekend in SL is magic weekend. With all the games on sky from st James park Newcastle (3 Saturday, 3 sunday). interesting games leeds/Castleford on sat Huddersfield/Salford 9n Sunday. Another Wigan/St Helens game (by my mathes they will meet at least 5 times this season). And a Hull Derby between 2 sides that are completely out of form.
But with out doubt, the big game is the 1st on Sat (14.30), between Toulouse and Wakefield.
In the Championship the big game is on Monday as Halifax host York.

2nd day of Magic.

Huddersfield get a good win v Salford 30-18. But the result of the day see's Catalans convincingly lose to Warrington
10-36 In the Hull derby which was an exciting game that in typical Magic weekend derby ended with a VR decision that didn't make any sense how they got to that decision. Hull fc beat Hull KR 34-28.

In the Championship.
Workington are the latest side that Leigh stuff, losing at home 0-66,And not scoring at home for the 2nd home game In a row. London Broncos put up a fight, before eventually losing to Featherstone at home 22-42. The latest Cumbrian derby Barrow win at home to Whitehaven 40-6. And Widnes win there 2nd game under John Kear against Dewsbury 26-16

In League one.
Hunslet are the latest side to beat West Wales winning 54-6. And a fantastic result for Rochdale, who gain an excellent away win at Oldham 50-24.

I would love to see Carcassonne enter the English structure. I reckon they could be in Super League within 3 years, but very unlikely they will want to enter it with the travelling costs involved

To be honest, I'd rather they stayed in France and helped build a strong French championship. In my opinion, strong leagues being built around the world is how we build a stronger position, and then international game.

Though do think having them and the losing finalists enter in the challenge cup (same round as league 1), should happen.

Both tonight's SL games were fairly desive victories for the home side's.

St Helens beat Huddersfield 25-0, and this despite being down to 12 men from the 16th minute after Sione Mata'utia was red carded.
The other game was totally one sided. As Wigan beat Hull FC 60-0, a game where Bevan French broke the SL record of most tries by a player in 1 game, scoring 7.

I don't know if you've seen his tries Beast, but I think I could have got at least 3, and I'm old and decrepit.

today's SL.

The big result was in the South of France. Where Toulouse beat Leeds 20-6, to move off the bottom of the table (1st time this season), on points difference.
In the other game, Castleford beat Warrington on Darryl Powell's return to Wheldon rd 35-22.

In the Championship.
Bradford lose again, this time at home to London Broncos 12-30. Which if Dewsbury lose tomorrow, see's London on the verge of safety.

And in league one,
West Wales coincide a load more points, as they lose to North Wales 76-4 at home.

LOL, just had a look, I would have still fluffed the one in the first half off the bomb that Hull didn't bother trying to take!

Wakefield, yes now a some trouble. That Toulouse game must have been brutally hot to play in.

Wakefield need to win next Sundays game against Saints, and that's not going to be easy

Today's games.

In SL, after a fairly poor couple of months Hull KR pick up a much needed win, and help Toulouse in the process after beating Wakefield 15-10.
And Catalans miserable week continues as they lose again at Salford 32-6.

In the Championship.

Unfortunately, after this weekend's results alot is very nearly over (of course this can change, but I can't see it really).
Leigh win at Dewsbury 60-6, to keep them top. And push Dewsbury nearer to relegation. Halifax maintain there good form to beat Workington 58-10. To virtually seal a play off place, and pretty much send Workington down (they hav3 to beat Whitehaven both times they play th3m, and pick up at least 2 more wins, and have only won once all season). Speaking of which, Whitehaven lose to Featherstone at home 24-46. Widnes beat Newcastle 33-26 keeping up John Kears good run since taking over as coach. But the game of the day was at Sheffield, where Barrow stage a brilliant comeback to win 36-32.

In League one.
Champions elect Keighley continue there cruise control season, beating Cornwall 68-0. Doncaster continue there excellent recent firm with a 64-12 win at Oldham. Swinton beat Midlands 54-22. And Hunslet win v London Skolars 43-16.

This weekend's NRL scores.

Melbourne's recent poor form continues as they lose for a third time in a row, this time at Home to Canberra 16-20.
Parramatta beat New Zealand Warriors 28-18. Sydney Roosters run in a big score as they beat St George 54-26. South Sydney win away at Canterbury 36-28. The best result is arguably Cronulla winning away at play off rivals North Queensland 26-12. Manly continues there recent form to sneak into the play off spots, beating Newcastle 42-12. The last 2 games are away wins, as Brisbane win in Gold Coast 16-12, and Penrith win at West Tigers 18-16.

Last night's SL game.

Leeds rather surprisingly put on a dominant display at home to stuff Wigan 42-12. Leeds were excellent with both aspects of the game.

Tonight's SL games.

Toulouse after a decent winning streak, lose at home to Salford 11-24. Meanwhile Catalans after 2 defeats in a row bounce back beating Huddersfield 13-12.

In the Championship.
What sounds an entertaining game see's Dewsbury get a great point at Newcastle drawing 24 all.

And in league 1.

North Wales continue there recent turn around in dorm, beating Hunslet 36-26. Cornwall lose at home again (still haven't won at home yet), this time to Swinton 10-46. West Wales also lose at home (they also haven't won at home this season, or for about 3 season's), Oldham the winners by 38-0.

Might as well just give the title to Keighley, there points difference is ridiculous. Brilliant wins for Widnes and London,.

Am I right next weekend is summer bash?
