First topic message reminder :

Massive game this. Surely decides who wins Pool D and - at this stage - avoids both NZ and England in the knock-outs.

A real 50:50, too close to call game for me.

Aus cheating again by taking out defenders off the ball. The officials have been poor today.

It's been like that since Genia went off and the supply line to Davies dried up.

How’s Wales fitness? Geez it’s funny watching two streams. Both swearing Poites favouring the other side. Hilarious.

True. Aus should always start with White and finish with Genia. White’s style benefits how Aus play whilst Genia is good at closing it out.

Crazy decision by Wales to scrum. Possibly the weakest part of their game.

Jon Davies really poor in defence today. Probably the worst performance from him in a test shirt. Won't repeat that performance again hopefully.

Parkes and JD2 don’t work too well together in defence. There’s always huge holes appearing. That’s why I’ve been calling for Watkin to start, but Parkes stepped up for the big occasion today, again.

Can’t believe we held out. Was sure they’d score another try. That’s the pessimist in me!

Wish we didn’t play like that. Credit to Oz obviously for not letting us have the ball but..... what was the possessions stats like in that 2nd half?! Must be like 70 or 80% to Oz?! Crazy. We must find a way of getting in the lead and then keeping hold of possession better.

Thought Australia got the fair calls at the scrum. Can hardly complain given Latu's throwing, which was atrocious, but not once called as not straight.

Not sure what the issue is, other than Poite taking ages resetting etc. Got the penalties they deserved at the scrum. Man's a bit of a joker and emotionally/mentally dishonest, but his teams can play when they need to. Will pose a threat to England if they can open up like they did second half.

Also, why has someone reported the OP?

Is it because of the scoreline in the title?

If not, bit odd.

Just shows how huge winning that AI was last year. If they hadn’t, they would’ve probably relinquished their lead this time round. Because they got the monkey of their back, there’s probably a bit more mental resilience.

Yeah, somebody English or Scottish didn't like the score. I've named the suspects nationality by the way, I'm not saying it was anyone... They're the ones bemoaning the ref despite him being in Aus's pocket. Some folk are so one-eyed Rolling Eyes.

In terms of scoreline, Gareth Davies' intercept, Foley's fluffed conversion, and Patchell's kicking proved key.

Biggar missed 6 points first half - penalty out side, drop goal drifting left. But Patchell kicked brilliantly.

6 points were enough to keep them out. Said at HT they could score 14-21, and they got 17. However, Oz had more in them, and had a penalty at 25-29 they could have kicked.

Fine margins, as ever.

Don't think Wales managed the game well enough second half - they had 5 consecutive mistakes from Australia to give them hope in that last 10 minutes. That's an issue for me.
1. Offside Kepu on halfway
2. Rodda jumping across at lineout. Wales kicked 3 points here.
3. Think it was a dropped ball in midfield, knocked on
4. Knock on maybe?
5. Earlyl in the scrum

I remember counting 5, and even then, Wales kept the ball in the scrum, and gave away the penalty.

Then there was still the missed kik to touch as well.

Still room for leadership in the Welsh team, particularly in the backline. Biggar is decent, but when not on the field, we need a ball player who can direct the game. JD2 was poor today, Parkes isn't that man, Liam Williams throw a pass back inside t Patchell who put in a loose up and under - and then made a hash of his clearing kick later on from the dead ball line, which Wales were lucky to hold out from.

If Wales are to go the distance, they probably need Biggar to stay fit and add game management, as there's no-one else really for Wales who can.

Wow. Not sure who reported the OP, and can’t see why, but your post here could easily be reported. Why have you assumed the report came from an English or Scottish fan? That’s some serious prejudice you have there

No it's not prejudice at all, it's based on months and months of evidence. There aren't many Scottish that do it, but you're always one of them. If you don't like being told then I suggest you zip it Smile.

Because he has pictures of two hot pieces of ass in it?

Evidence?

I’m one of them?

Well that’s just proven my case as I don’t think I’ve ever reported any post or thread.

Every single match thread from last season thumbsup

Yes you. You got some offside-syndrome plus you always complain that the ref was in Wales' favour whenever we win. He was in Aus' favour today and you're a bit quiet. Also, aren't you the one who made a habit of coat-tailing Aus in the past? How's that going for you right now?

I know. It’s my fault for engaging with him.

Sometimes I just can’t help it though. I’m just nice that way that I try to help those in need.

Back to the discussion on the OP being reported, I can see why someone would for Kylie being used, should have been Margot Robbie.

Wales' winning streak against Aus looking good (2 from 2), and looking even better against Scotland - no wonder some are bitter. I just wish these guys would stop ruining our threads, we seem to be a big target.

If England get through to the Quarter Finals, I really don't know who I'd prefer. Both sides could easily have our measure on the day.

Is it because of the scoreline in the title?

If not, bit odd.

It was reported for sexual objectification before the match had started.

You could have picked a picture of Rob Brydon and steve smith, why two ladies and why one in a seductive pose?

Not inclusive, just saying, also many people have to work and the scoreline spoils it for them

I am closing this thread while I have the three Sh. People need to calm down.

OK. Thread re-opened.

I do not want to have to moderate this thread again.

It was pretty much impossible to avoid scores even back in the days of The Likely Lads. Anyone who does not want to know the score should not be coming on a Rugby Forum.

Oh and well done Wales. You guys must have been bricking it just a little as the second half unfolded. While Toomua made a big difference, how much of the comeback was due to Wales seemingly decide to just defend their lead?
