Signup Page - New League (name TBD)

Hi,

You all may have seen the latest league post, these are the rules set in stone for the new league:

Longevity, no time limit set/no aim, just as long as we can go for in terms of length of the league
Tactics 200 words which includes everything
4 Injuries per week
Releases at 75% of TM value, no cap with no Lawyer offers
£1m Bonus per week for on time tactics and weekly votes
Players released cant be signed by anyone until a month has passed from the sale

We still need to decide on teams we go with/how we set up the league whether that's a draft or just given a team we will see.

We need numbers to decide how we sort out voting as well, how we sort the schedule etc.

Team wise you could go with the following tried and tested base teams especially if we're looking to have a 'home grown' element to the league:

Swansea - 108.5m
Watford - 108.2m
Newcastle - 107.3m
Hull - 95.9m
Bournemouth - 90.1m
Sunderland - 86.7m
Middlesbro - 84.6m
West Brom - 81.3m
Burnley - 72.3m
Aston Villa - 71m

In but whether TM values or not there's no way you can put Villa in with those teams.

Personally I'd favour an all championship teams league, allow people to pick any side (except Newcastle).

For me the Championship is too low, I don't know nor care for the players in it and they'd all be offloaded pretty sharpish.

Fair enough but if I ended up with Villa from that list i would be infuriated.

There would be a counterbalance of extra cash for the lower sides I'd presume.
Though your point does reinforce my belief that pre-designated teams does immediately put some on the back foot over a draft.

I don't mind championship teams tbh. As long as there's balance.

I'm saying giving Villa 1.3m more than Burnley doesn't bridge the gap. I think you need to look beyond the basic TM values and look at where that side is, its an average championship side. I'd rather have Leeds or Huddersfield.

It's a fair amount of average but Amavi is expected to raise a few quid if he moves, his value then goes up and immediately cash in.
