Not sure this is in the spirit of this thread, but you have to laugh:

Certainly gave me a chuckle.

I may have to revise my opinion (slightly) of Hamilton:

Have more time for the Cancer Hospitals and Hospices that survive on a shoestring because multi-millionaires move abroad to avoid paying Tax..

Trust you to pick out the negatives. I agree with you, but that doesn't really alter this particular act, providing some light for a lad about to die, does it?TRUSSMAN66 wrote:Have more time for the Cancer Hospitals and Hospices that survive on a shoestring because multi-millionaires move abroad to avoid paying Tax..

Well done; glad I provided some amusement. As I said, I understand all that. Did someone steal your biscuits at coffee break today?TRUSSMAN66 wrote:Quite amusing you moaning about negativity on here..

I do think he gets a very unfair press. Always comes across as a decent sort to me.

Re: Heartwarming Story of the Day!
Heartwarming now because it amuses me..
Went for a job at one of the local stores when I was a kid and was told to come for an interview at 10am the next day with the boss...The Lady assistant that arranged it said to get there at ten past because she has to open up and get stuff ready.
Got there at 10.10 and spent the interview being lectured on why if I couldn't be bothered turning up on time he should give me a job.

Let me get this one right.... or try!
So, a transgender actress has pulled out of a play because a transgender character was given to a cisgender actor......
Sublime.
It was always coming. It was inevitable. War of The Rainbow! Bring it on!

No - I find it heartwarming to think the public front of eternal rainbow harmony is slipping.
More of this in-fighting and they might all even become simply human again.

Re: Heartwarming Story of the Day!
That definitely grinds my gears..
There was an apparent uproar a while back around Bryan Cranston being given the role of a disabled man in a wheel chair, when apparently it should have went to a disabled actor in a wheel chair....
Limits your pool a bit I would imagine and severely reduces the amount of people who would go see the film, but sure give it to an actor in a wheel chair who nobody knows....

Yep. But I dread to think who they'll have to cast in the next Hannibal Lecter movie.

According to the Express if you give over 70s a free luxury Sauna twice a week you can cure the Social care crisis.
The answer was right in front of us all the time.

During my halcyon days at the "prestigious" Keele suffering Man Utd loving students patronise Man City fans on a daily basis...Turning me in to a devoted City fan..
Hope they enjoyed watching Real Madrid getting destroyed last night......I did..

Does anyone regard City's achievement as special or heartwarming, though? They have all the money in the world to hoover up all the talent in the world and, as a result, they've won things. Wow. Any club in the world can get to City's position with enough money (e.g. Newcastle in the near-future).
At least United's dominance under Ferguson came without unlimited resources.

It's a shame that there was no way City and Real could both lose.

Re: Heartwarming Story of the Day!
Can a form of Justice be considered "heart warming"? Reading this article from the BBC it presents a most heinous of crimes which remained unsolved for nearly 50 years. However a new form of DNA profiling plus the fact that the perpetrators DNA was put on the police files for a separate incident meant that the crime has recently been solved. The perpetrator will be held to account although as manslaughter rather than murder - despite the coroner saying the cause of death was strangulation.

Re: Heartwarming Story of the Day!
Don't see that as heartwarming. The man evaded justice for nearly 50 years, sounds like he tormented other people after his initial crime, and he almost certainly won't get any proper punishment.

Looks like Andrew "motormouth" Tate has got plenty to be thinking about for the foreseeable future......If the prosecutors added Jaywalking he'd nearly have a full house..

Valentine's day has come around again......This November 15 I will have been with the red menace 37 years....Where has it all gone !!!....
Should be cashing her in for a newer model but considering her Father told me that if I ever hurt her he'd kill me....and he looked like he meant it.....
Perhaps she can stay around a little bit longer...
