Then they would have fallen and died thus traumatizing those poor children for the rest of what remained of their lives. Coxy, you are precisely the sort of miserable c*nt I was referring to when I did this.

Unrealistic, as they are from different superhero universes, so therefore very unlikely to collaborate on any kind of cleaning project... Nice idea, but this lack of attention to detail spoils it for me.

True, but I doubt the kids cared one jot.

I think having Batman trying to punch Superman's face in with a Kryptonite ring might have been a tad too realistic for them. Wink

If you changed your diet you wouldn't have to clench your bum so hard. You'd be a much happier Nancy boy.

Feel tremendous sympathy with Vaz and his family.......If he wants to use prostitutes it isn't any of my business. is it really of the national interest ??.....

Going to be a tremendous upheaval in the Vaz private lives.....Relationships changed for ever with family and friends...

Wife and kids have to run the gauntlet too "Remember that Perv from parliament...That's his Wife/kid etc etc"

His job is in public life so he can't hide away...Days and weeks of hearing whispers as he is walking through lobbies......Cameramen waiting to snap him everywhere......Gutter morons printing stories from "Insiders" or a "Source"...

Wouldn't want any politician regardless of party to go through it......The whole episode is symptomatic of the times we live in....

He's been a fool.......But I'm not perfect either..

I agree with some of this esp. re. his family, but it's not just this. He's a self-promoting, slightly sleazy politician who somehow managed to get away with a number of dodgy things before (see Rushdie, Filkin, Eggington, Auchi, Hinduja and expenses).
This is public because of Vaz's comments re. poppers and some of the stuff his ctte. deliberates on re. vice. Why he's fit as the Chair of the Home Office Select Ctte is anyone's guess.

Sadiq Khan telling jokes...

I went to visit St George’s, my local hospital, and I asked: “Who are the easiest people to operate on?”

One of the surgeons said: “It’s librarians, because when you cut them open all the bits are in alphabetical order.”

Another one of them goes: “No, you’re wrong. Actually, the easiest people to operate on are accountants because when you open them up, all their parts are numbered.”

But then the chief surgeon disagreed. She goes: “You’re both wrong. The easiest are politicians.”

So I said to her: “Politicians? Why’s that?”

And she said: “Well, last week I had Jeremy Hunt in here for surgery. When we sliced him open he was gutless, spineless and heartless.

“Also his head and his arse were interchangeable.”

That might be a part of it, of course it is, BUT Vaz Chaired a Ctte that pronounced on poppers and selling vice, amongst much else. Of course, there's no chance he has/had a conflict of interest and might have influenced outcomes to suit his own proclivities is there? No, of course not.

I'm not sure I agree with the WAY the media might expose someone like this, but to say it's purely scandal and of no relevance to anything important is a bit ridiculous. I'd be quite happy if he was presented with the 'evidence' and stepped aside, without the media scrum, but I'm afraid I don't trust the political bubble. In addition, if he was my local MP (or campaigning to be), I think I'd like to know of all his dodgy stuff. Wouldn't you? Even without this, I'd never vote for him in any case. Dodgy operator, but so typical of too many politicians.

He plans to live off the money raised for him and says he will make a donation to charity when he dies from any leftover cash.

I can see him being kicked to death very shortly...probably by Katie Cutler.

What an utter t**t! furious

She helped raise over £300k for him and he can't spare £7k to help her out?

Hope the tight-fisted bar steward gets burgled and has his house burned down.

Aww c'mon!

If you're going to believe what's written in the Sun over the Mirror, there really is no hope for you. raspberry

Are there any reliable sources? In any case, whether she just wanted to get famous or not, it seems she still played a significant part in the fundraising campaign.

Whether Claire Barber's claims about her income (what the hell is she doing to earn 5-10 grand a month?) are true is another matter. Is she just a "fame hungry internet troll" or a fraudster as well?

Was Mr Barnes aware of this? If so, fair enough, but if not, its still a derisory offer.

Heartwarming Story of the Day! Empty Re: Heartwarming Story of the Day!

The most heartwarming aspect of this is that Katie Cutler has not been described as an aspiring model and that "The S*um" haven't offered her £10k to get her kit off help her career.

Perhaps the least heartwarming aspect of this is that when the original story broke about how she's raised the money for Mr Barnes, I, albeit fleetingly, felt that the World wasn't such a f*cking dreadful place and that there were good people out there who wanted to help those less fortunate than themselves.

However, on reflection it seems to me we just live in a world where young females scour the internet looking for stories about muggers targeting the elderly/disabled so they can leap in like Wonder Woman, do something that, on the face of it, seems lovely but only so they can further their own careers as Lord only knows what.

B*stards!!!!!!

Well, even if she did it to further her own agenda, there is still one old geezer who did very well out of it...so its not all bad, is it?

He also gave her £150,000 from the money he received to give to her charity which was re-distributed to various causes. The used the rest to get his life together (ish)

She initially wanted to help, then decided she could use it to try and get famous, and it all went t1ts up, so no sympathy for her in the slightest.
