We now know the layout of the knockouts and what route each team will take to winning the competition.

Australia - Though realistically it is hard to see past the ABs, I think Aus are the only team that can beat them, and NZ do like to choke in a world cup now and then...

If I had to choose a third most likely then it's got to be South Africa, then Ireland, then the Argies, then France, then Wales, then Scotland.

I'd LIKE Scotland to win, followed by Ireland, then France, Arg, Aus, Wales, NZ, SA.  I don't feel SA deserve it this year - they lost to Japan!

Aus for me, attacking threat and quality defensive play all in one.

NZ look vulnerable to me and as yet are untested over 80mins at this RWC. I have a feeling France might bounce back.

Well after the success of the computer model so far, further data has refined the knock-out stages and the prediction is :-

Australia for me.

NZ runner up.

Australia or New Zealand.

The New Zealand for me. Australia most likely second choice... Though I would love to see the winner of SA vs Wales to make the final.

Wales will win this years Rugby World Cup. If not us then New Zealand. Said it all along

NZ to win it.... beating Australia in the Final.
SA pipping Argentina for 3rd.

New Zealand.  They will get going now, and crucially, their squad is fit.

Ireland will be the interesting one now. I would have thought a spot in the final was beckoning but those injuries could swing it away from them.

Australia look the best team so far. They've showed they have the skill, the set piece and the guts under severe pressure.

What the hell are they basing those France and Argentina odds on?

I think NZ would still beat all other teams at least 7 times out of 10. It's just whether SA or Aus can pull out the 3 in 10 performance.
