Lee Selby's first world title defence confirmed

He will be defending his IBF title on Wednesday 14th October on a PBC show against Fernando Montiel. It is the supporting bout to the Devon Alexander v Aaron Martinez matchup.

The fight is due to be aired on ESPN. So far when that's happened on a PBC show BT Sport have shown those fights on their ESPN channel over here. It will be interesting to see if this is indeed on BT or Sky in the UK.

So he's managed to get up off the floor against Donaire then ???

I've long suspected Hearn wants Selby Warrington. Selby on a no risk strategy until JW is ready.

A dead giveaway was the numerous times he's publicly said he wants this fight next summer in Leeds...

Selby - Warrington is a waste of time............

Warrington can't bang and Selby is one of the best boxers I've seen from this Country in the last 30 years...

If you're going to beat Selby you either have to be real top class... or be able to bang !!

I'm with Truss, I like Warrington a lot but can't see anything but a Selby win, just seems far too good.

no its a waste of time but its down to Haymon, Hearn deserves a lot of criticism for many things but not on this occasion

Selby will beat whoever is put in front of him so it makes no difference

He defeat all man...and eventually he defeat...real champion

I've no doubt that Selby would beat Warrington but I still think that people of Leeds would buy tickets in their droves to see that fight at Elland Road. And I can't see Hearn putting him in with any of the other featherweight titlists.
