It's Round 4 of the Music Cup and this week the animals are in town, yes it's songs/artists that have an animal in. As always choose your three favorites for the list (yes three you thickos!).

Difficult, not sure there are three songs I like on there, and am sick of picking the Stones. Just smacks of people trying to win too badly. Also prefer the Gram Parsons version.

I might go for Tomorrow Never Knows in the next round on the premise that Hero will allow 'Knows' as the thing with two nostrils.

Have only voted for two, one of which I really like and suspect is Jules', which makes me happy. Like the Animals but the animals are not animals, they are the collective name for things which would be considered animals. Also did not vote for the Beatles for the reasons Jules has eloquently articulated, and because I think they are gash.

To be fair jeff, Norwegian Wood does have the word bird in the title.

In that case I'll refer you to my second point.

Does Buffalo Soldier remind anyone else of the Banana Splits Theme?

Just for information the John Coltrane song is actually called On Green Dolphin Street. Am fairly sure the truncated title is causing confusion and explains the lack of votes thus far.

I should have put Bring on the dancing horses instead of Jimmy Nail. It hasn't quite had the comedic effect I intended.

Crocodile shoes, Monkey Wrench and Tarantula. Used to listen to Crocodile Shoes every Sunday when we visited my nan.

I tried to Squeeze The Lion Sleeps Tonight in there, but it was too much of a Tight Fit.

Surprised no-one's voted for Sunday Stripper. Excellent nomination.

Some good songs here but its a weak round. Not as many songs I would count as 'great' compared to the last two lists.

Surprised Monkey Wrench is leading this. Not the best song up there and not even FF best song with an animal in it.

Same with The Animals, not even their best song but obviously going for the popular choice.

I am particularly pleased with my nomination for the next round.

Seems a large number of people have used the choice for the next round to pick songs involving genitalia.

Monkey Wrench used to be one of my favourite songs and the foo's one of my most listened to bands until I discovered that the foo fighters denied that HIV leads to aids.

I had a similar experience with them Mc, I used to listen to them until I discovered they were absolute bobbins.
