The Music Cup 2015 Round 1: Life & Death

After Tino's debacle of a Culture Cup and his sly dig over the non-appearance of a Music Cup then I risen to the bait and have decided to run one for 2015.

It will be 10 rounds long, each round is based upon a particular theme, I'll require you to PM me each week with both the name of the artist and the track, please choose a Top Three in clear named order, simple!

I'm not going to fanny about and spend a week asking who's in or not but instead crack on with the first round.

Life & Death

Either the song title or artist must contain something pertaining to life or death, so Adam could pick 'Spice up your Life' by the Spice Girls or 'Livin' La Vida Loca' by Ricky Martin, two of his personal faves I'm sure, Dave667 meanwhile I'm sure will be picking 'The Foetus of a New Day Kicking' by Cradle of Filth, such a lovely ditty.

As it is the first round I'll give it until 5pm Friday for the word on the street to get round and for picks to be made. I'll be taking them on a first come first served basis for this round followed by a random draw going forward.
Points will be allocated as 20 to the winner/s, 15 to the runner up/s, 10 to 3rd place/s, 9 to 4th and so on, 8 to 5th and so on.
Voting wise I'm also going to mix it up a bit by allowing everyone to vote for their fave 3 picks, this hopefully will counteract those dastardly rascals who just choose their own picks every week.

You can send in 1, but if it's already chosen then it just results in a back n forth exchange of messages which neither of us want.

Yep all that are in so far are fine, there have already been some duplicates but I've notified those that have and they've re-picked already.

Was going to attempt to go populist and go for a balls out rock song, but I'm going to stay true to myself and go with a song by a relatively obscure Japanese "post-rock" instrumental group.

I hate to admit it Super, but I did put a populist song I don't particuarly like in my choices. In my defence I did make it third choice, still feel dirty though.

I went for three of my favourites, therefore clearly keeping my tradition of performing appallingly in these polls...

There's a few glaring omissions tbh.
In the interest of fairness and to give you all a sporting chance this time round I'm going to be making my pick last every round.
