The Azzrentice - Task 1

First topic message reminder :

Good morning.

You stand here before me, the brightest and best fake online football managers the country has to offer. One of you will be walking away with prestige. Bragging rights. A title to echo throughout the fake online football management ages. I am looking for someone with a rich knowledge of the history of our beautiful game. Someone who understands how to play the game, Someone who has the brains to get behind the football and into the business. And most importantly, someone who knows what fans of the game want, and how to grow and expand the game to even greater heights.

For the first task I am going to split you into two teams. Team 1 will have three managers - Viva, Marky and Nando. Team 2 will have the other three managers - GSC, Trebs and Miky.

The first task has three components. First, I want you to name your teams and give me sound reasoning as to why you have chosen that name. I don't want to hear silly names like 'Team Januzaj the diver' or 'Team Scholes the greatest player ever'. I want a name that you feel represents everything that is great about our game.

Second, you must elect a team manager. Choose wisely, choose effectively.

Finally, the meat of the task. Having dispensed with the veg, you will now sit down and craft me a vision for the future. The future of the global game. I want your teams to give me a strategy for FIFA. A blueprint to the improvement of our game. In 2015 there will be a vote on who will be the next leader of FIFA. I want your team to tell me what its plan would be. It can cover any aspect of football - business, grass roots development, profit sharing, anything - but you must limit ourselves to five points only. I also want an explanation of how you would practically go about implementing your five points, and how you would pay for them.

Submissions must be handed in by midnight next Monday 23 March. I'll see you in my Boardroom on Tuesday and I can tell you now that on the losing team, one of you will be fired.

I'll decide who is on which team, thank you. The next task will see Viva and Trebs swap teams; Nando will manage Team Pele and you GSC will manage Team Integrity.

Azzy its a shambolic decision to punish me for doing something wrong that our team leader (who didn't do anything) isn't punished for.

I had the bottle to take the role as captain you and Marky didn't want it, I could tell by the look in your eyes. I would much rather score one goal in a match than score 2 goals but make huge errors which cost us 7 goals.

It was not a genuine question, you like Mourinho tried to play mind games. I can understand that you fear me and wanted me out in the first round so tried to play games but it didn't work.

I came in and said good morning and then asked the question late on. I'm pretty sure Azzy knew who he was sacking anyway.

I look forward to working with you too even though I can see that I am going to be hung out to dry at every opportunity if we lose.

Just to clarify. Azzy scored us all the same, but because I came up with a name Azzy didn't like, and Viva decided to put nothing at all instead even though he also disagreed with it, I'm punished?

Miky, it wasn't until I started the live boardroom episode that I made my mind up. Your arguments here do sway me, and Marky's statement that he took 100% responsibility for that awful team name was the deal breaker. This was one of the closest decisions I've ever made in the Azzrentice.

I have to say Trebs, if this was the final you'd have won. I was very impressed with your leadership, control of the task and approach to the subject matter.

Viva said we were Team Pele, and because he didn't include that I've been fired...

Your telling me Marky's was a joke, This is the front man for Erectile Dysfunction

Marky, you scored 3 points, Nando and Viva scored four.

Marky = -1 for team name, 1 for electing a manager, 1 for one proposal, 2 for the other = 3
Nando = 0 for team name, 1 for manager, 1 for one proposal, 2 for the other = 4
Viva = 1 for team name, 1 for stepping up as manager, 2 for proposal, 0 for leadership and forgetting team name = 4

He lost one mark for forgetting the team name, he'd have scored five points if he'd remembered it. In fact, had he remembered it, you'd have had four points as well as Nando, and it would have come down to yours and Nando's proposals. I may have edged 51-49 your way, so if you want to blame someone for your departure, blame your team manager, who you elected.

Its a shame we won so I have no reason to post my defense to Trebs pre emptively throwing us under the bus.

Marky can you stop posting on here please, this page is for current contestants.

In all honesty Azzy id rather be team F.U.C.K.E.D then team erectile dysfunction.

You get action being team F.U.C.K.E.D rather then disappointment from Team Erectile Dysfunction.

I wouldn't have been -1 for team name if Viva hadn't forgotten to include the real team name!

Nando this is going to go against you when you perform poorly in round 2. Take it like a man and admit you weren't good enough. It goes to show me at 20% and you at 100% and we're still equal.

I didn't know I was the only person in our team, I had two other teammates who should have backed me up. You could have easily checked the submission and said "Hey Viva you beautiful man, you haven't added our team name" and pow you may have been saved.

I shouldn't lose a point for his mistake, only he should!

That's BS Azzy, Viva did nothing & you rewarded him and by what Marky said earlier im starting to wonder if you even read his parts which were considerably better & not obvious like Viva's anyone could of written "release Michael Garcia's report"

I think this competition needs a second judge to balance out azzys bias. I nominate myself. I hate all of you equally!

Nothing wrong with me at all Azzy. That comment you made earlier saying you should have sacked me, well you should have. I've got no interest now in the next round as I feel I am a marked man regardless if I put in a world class performance.

Luckily there's no chance of you doing that Viva.

Marky 1-0 Viva

Viva chose an acceptable team name, even if he forgot to include it. He stepped up to be manager when Nando and Marky didn't want to, and he scored 2/3 on his one proposal. He made a good contribution. Everyone ragging on him for 'doing nothing' has their card marked.

Viva, I judge solely on performance on task and any previous tasks. Your standing up for yourself is what this process needs. Just tone it down.

And with that, thread over. We move onto Task 2 shortly.

Azzy has his favorite unsurprisingly as seen by this.

Viva offered to be manager not that Me & Marky weren't willing he was adamant he wanted it and no point butting heads over it but yet offered up no ideas. He made no contribution bar he 3 sentences for corruption which could of been written by a 4 year old and you gave him 2 out of 3 despite commiting basis leadership errors & can't remember to add a team name to the title which was requested.
