Bad decisions are okay then as long as it's the Brit that gets it ???

He says some daft things. The most irritating thing is how he decides who is winning the fights after a couple of rounds and won't deviate despite what's going on in front of him.

In the fight between the German and Italian he decided the German was the aggressor, despite his water right high guard and the Italian was boring and not doing enough to win the fight. Even though the Italian seemed to be throwing more.

Makes it up as he goes along.

Saw an interview wit paddy fitzpatrick he said before groves froch2 watt had said to him he wanted George to be more cautious and not as aggressive as he was in 1st fight the in he's commentary slated the change in George style and he should be doing what he was doing in the1st! He was so biased towards in froch in that fight.

Believe me I've seen worst commentators............But you can't have a go at bad decisions and then throw out a statement like that !!..

Not as bad as when an American networks cash cow is fighting.

Don't think they'll ever change unfortunately Truss, seems to be the norm now to have completely biased commentators in everything.

Wouldn't surprise me if they were handed a bunch of stuff they have to say by Sky.

People forget a key thing. Sky pays Hearn to have fights. So of course the Sky would rather have whoever is a Hearn fighter looking good. Hearn fighters are on the night essentially Sky fighters.

People watch boxing and think the commentary is gonna be like Utd-Chelsea commentary on Sky. Realistically though, the commentary is gonna be like Utd-Chelsea on MUTV

But we want opinions as to the fight we are seeing.......Not what they want you to see............Integrity goes out of the window !!

You can't call fights a disgrace and then say it would be nice If Abraham got screwed..

Suppose there's also the fact that if Sky fights generally have a baseline of (thumbsucked number alert) 100k viewers, and they project about 250k for Abraham-Smith it probably takes two seconds for them to realise that the spike is probably casual jingoistic patriots... and they'd be better off convincing the new audiences "I swear he isn't always this cr

Halling and watt sometimes forget that.....The camera never lies...

I want to see the sports commentary calling it down the middle. Think like Truss said though actively calling for someone to be basically cheated out of his title is ridiculous and (imo) is more likely to turn viewers away than attract them.

Not too mention put other opponents off ie'why go and fight him when I could get ripped by the judges AND i'm gonna be made to look like crap by the commentators'

With that said though, it's poor form to have a fight that wide, and hope the judges scored it otherwise. Basically saying
"Lets hope I'm either no good at this commentating gig, or the judges have been given a brown envelope"

After the grilling Jose Mourinho gave the boys on Goals on Sunday this morning, maybe they could get him on ringside next week.

Have him dragging Smith, Halling and Watt over hot coals live on TV. Box office.

Didn't watch the Sky card but I heard that Halling made reference to Max (a fictional character from Eastenders) having had a bad week during the 11th round.

I thought the commentary in the fight before Smith/AA was worse then in the main event, even they had to admit Smith lost, even though they were begging for blind judges

Watt has never been the same since the pasting he got for scoring the Dirrell Froch fight to Dirrell. He very much plays along with how Smith and Hearn expect it to go these days
